All Done With That

All of my April rhythm guitar parts are done, including a bonus 11th song that I started at 3:30am today when I was too pissed off at facebook to sleep.

I wonder… if I stop taking pictures of whatever guitar I am playing every time I play, would the world go back to normal?  Is all of this my fault somehow?

Day 17, aka Ooops

I just posted this on the RPM Challenge website:

I recorded some rhythm guitars last night.  Nothing special, but one of the two songs I worked on is turning out to be almost kinda fun.

This morning as I’m going through my morning routine I was actually kind of humming the riff to myself.  Nice!  That never happens!

Then… wait a second… that’s not the song I worked on last night… what is it?  Oh yeah, it’s one of my February songs.

(insert annoyed sigh here)

Looks like Robbie’s written the same song twice… again.

I really don’t care.

Guitar, Babie

So the rule for April is rhythm guitar is my SG with the boost side of the D&M Drive. Leads are the Les Paul through the drive side of the D&M Drive.

Tonight was the first Leads night of the month.

Musical Lessons

I learned two things while singing in the car this morning.

First, I am still a terrible singer.  If you were thinking I would have magically learned how to be awesome over the last two weeks then I’m sorry to disappoint you.  I still suck.

Second, I am still terrified of having people hear me.  Oh look at that guy walking his dog.  He’s two football fields away from me.  I better wait the 20 minutes for him to walk by because he might hear me.

“Studio”

I recorded the rhythm parts for one song this morning before work. Here’s a little behind the scenes glimpse into my April RPM recording “studio” which will henceforth be referred to as “The RPM Nook.”
