I’m tired. I’m sitting up in bed thinking about laying down and turning off the lights. Jen is asleep, but she needs to be up crazy early tomorrow.
The instant I start thinking about calling it a night, Patches’ sixth sense lights up. She goes to our bedroom doorway and pukes. She pauses a minute and pukes again.
This is how she gets attention now? You want to sleep fat boy? Try sleeping now.
Thanks, cat.

Today’s music to cook by isn’t music. The Bruins have a 3-2 lead over Winnipeg mid-way through the third period.

Just doing a little RPM prep today.

I’m so fat,
How fat are you?
I’m so fat that my back is in serious pain due to having to hold my ginormous gut upright while I’m standing. When I first stand up I’m good for maybe 5-10 minutes and then the back pain flares up and it becomes hard to move. I can deal with it for a few minutes but then it gets bad enough that I have to sit.
Here’s hoping gastric bypass surgery will fix this particular issue.
Fingers crossed.
How did I do cooking dinner tonight? Let’s recap.
Jen and I both liked the chicken. I ruined the roasted green beans. Burned to a crisp. They looked like twigs.
The quinoa though… I don’t know what I did, but I aced the quinoa. Jen and I agreed. It has something to do with the onions. I need to just slightly over cook them and for some reason that makes the whole dish taste like an A+. If only I could do it consistently.

I promise I won’t do this every day. I’m just kinda on a roll.
Remember the plant clipping from yesterday? An article we read said to wait for the new sprout to be an inch long before moving to a pot. We figured it would take a few days.
Nope. Not only is the sprout we saw yesterday about an inch long today, but there is a new second sprout that’s twice as long!
So…
