An Exercise First

I always talk about trying to close the exercise ring on my AppleWatch. I’m sure I’m annoying AF. I usually just walk in place for a few minutes at a time over the course of a day until I get up to 30 minutes.

Today I did something I’ve only done a couple of times since the start of the pandemic when the whole walking in place became a thing.

I did all 30 minutes in one go. It was the walk in place equivalent of 2.2 miles, which is quite a bit slower pace than I was doing back in late 2020, but I’ll take it.

I need to start using the exercise bike instead of walking in place, but for today I’ll take it. I’m kinda pleased with myself.

Weight Update: Indirectly

I’ve decided that Wednesdays are weigh in days. I’m only going to weigh myself on Wednesdays in the hopes that it will stop me from obsessing over the numbers.

I do have an indirect example of weight loss today. I have something to do today and I have decided to wear real clothes rather than sweatpants. I put on jeans for the first time since the morning of the surgery.

My belt is two notches tighter than it was four weeks ago. Yup, I’ve lost a smidgen of weight.

Lester Lives

I played my new Les Paul today. First time in over two months. I had two songs to work on and I only got to one, but it was awesome. I love that guitar. I celebrated a wedding anniversary with the woman who bought me that guitar for my 50th birthday last year and somehow that makes it all that much cooler.

First Cookout Prep

We are likely going to have our first cookout of the summer today. Highly appropriate for Memorial Day.

I’m just prepping the patio for now. Setting up the furniture and making sure the umbrella still works and cleaning the grill.

Hope it doesn’t rain, right?

Clever Girl

Jen and I just watched Jurassic Park. It absolutely still holds up. Great flick.

I wonder why they never made a sequel (cough cough). You’d have thunk they could have cashed in big time if they had ever made a sequel (cough cough). They could have turned it into a franchise or something (cough cough).
