The guitar was played today and recordings were made.
The Keeley D&M Drive doesn’t play with the Klon KTR as nicely as the OCD did and there’s some mushy, flubby tone on two of the songs to prove it. I’ve got it figured out though. The tone will improve. The new wah was also recorded for the first time. There were many, many takes. I screwed up many, many times.
The power company gave us an estimated time for getting the power back of 11:30.
It came back on at 11:31.
One. Minute. Late.

Battery operated Hue light, dangerously balanced.
The thunderstorm that tore through town today took out a bunch of trees and power lines and for the first time in the 10 years since we moved here we have an extended power outage.
So we are sitting outside in the muggy evening air and it’s kinda wonderful.
Oh, and I filled the bird feeders for the first time in a week. Just thought you should know.
We are having a pretty wild thunderstorm right now. Bad enough that the power is flickering.
My step kids just went outside to play in the puddles.
Someday I’m going to want to cork sniff again and I’ll upgrade to some super swanky boutique wah pedal, but until then I’ll stomp the crap out of this puppy.
