Home Again

I’m home from the hospital again. The diagnosis was dehydration. They gave me two IV bags of fluid and ran some blood and urine tests. Everything looks okay.

Dehydration is going to be a thing going forward. I need to power through it and keep taking in fluids. Jen just made me three ounces of broth and it was great. I’m going to try some lemonade next. Wish me luck.

The goal is four ounces of liquid each hour. I’ve done it once. I think I’m about to do it again.

I’m Back

I’m at the hospital again. Felt a little light headed when I woke up this morning. Called the on call doctor. She said it’s normal but to go to the ER and get my fluids topped off.

I was really hoping I wouldn’t be back here again. Oh well. The good news is my pain level is really low today. I’m feeling great in that respect.

Strange

The Bruins won. There will be no first round sweep elimination this year.

The Red Sox are losing. I think we are just going to have to get used to that.

I watched the first episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and I really enjoyed it. It feels like a return to form. Fingers crossed that feeling holds up.

I’m having a bit of gas pain tonight, but that’s expected. I’m going to walk around for a few minutes and then go to bed. I slept in a recliner last night so this will be my first night in my own bed. Sort of. I took a nap in the bed this afternoon, but you know what I mean.

Sweet dream, gentle readers.

What is It

Want to know what’s weird?

I can’t tell the difference between pain from the surgery, pain from gas in my abdomen, pain from gas in what’s left of my stomach, feeling hungry, or feeling full.

It all sort of feels the same right now. I’ve got a lot of learning to do.
