2020 in (bad) Pictures

January. We lost Neil and the world has been shit ever since.

In February we went to Disney World for a week, but we were not the droids they were looking for.

In March civilization came to a screeching halt.

In April we were locked down solid, but we still went for drives and sometimes saw interesting things.

In May we finally gave in to The Great British Baking show and just let it take over. Jen and Harry tried their hands at decorating cakes. I just made a lot of Tewksbury Tweets.

In June the kids finally cracked a little (just kidding).

In July I tried to spend as much time outside as I could because I knew it wasn’t going to last.

In August we had a Vote By Mail dry run thanks to the State Primary.

In September we went into a store for the first time in six months. It was creepy and scary and weird, but we came out with a flu shot. A dry run for the Covid vaccine maybe?

In October we did it for real and sent that nazi prick packing.

In November the lights came on a little early.

In December we pulled off a great lock down Christmas.

Up next is 2021. Here’s hoping Covid will be history and lock downs will end and we’ll get to see a little more of the world than just our house. 2020 was a friggin’ mess, but we made the best of it. I’m proud of us for doing it right.

Happy New Year.

BendGate 2020 Edition

Remember that super groovy iPhone stand thing I posted a picture of a couple of days ago?

Check out what putting my iPod touch into it for a whole day did.

Woah! It’s like BendGate all over again! I’m glad I used the iPod for the 10 hour time lapse instead of my iPhone. That woulda sucked!

Slide? Oh Please No

The last time I did car singing I finished what I had planned quick so I did a re-recording too. I didn’t have rhythm guitars down so I was working off an old scratch track. Tonight I put the guitars down… all of them… oh, so many tracks.

Four tracks of fat finger flubbing rhythm guitars (two takes, each with two mics for a total of four tracks)

Six tracks of lead guitar. Three takes, two mics each. One take was my usual guitar sound, one was a cleanish sound, and the third was tons of fuzz and feedback and… and… slide.

I am the worst slide player on Earth but don’t fret, I only used it for noise, and I’m probably going to play the two tracks backwards. You’re all safe. Trust me.

Grooviest iPhone Stand Ever

Santa brought me what is clearly the grooviest iPhone stand ever, which means all kinds of new candle time lapses.

Unfortunately the one I’m shooting in the pictures is using my iPod Touch whose battery will likely die within minutes. I should think about plugging it in.

CPAP Cleaner

I got a machine to sanitize the moving parts of my CPAP machine. It’s cool. It nukes the crap out of stuff with UV light for five minutes and then poof, disinfected. I’m still going to need to wash the dried up drool out of the mask though. Grody to the Max, man*.

*My spoiler free review of Wonder Woman 84 is as follows: I am so glad the 80’s are over and I have zero nostalgia for that time. None. Nil. Zip. Nada.

Post-Christmas Recovery

I saved all of the boxes that our billion lock down deliveries came in for the month leading up to Christmas. That way if one of us needed a box to wrap, there would be something perfect just lying around.

While the plan was perfectly successful, it did leave this….

Which means I spent my morning listening to a playlist of solo albums made by members of Pink Floyd on shuffle while doing this……

HoHoHo
