We cleaned up Bellana’s room over the weekend and removed most of Miss Patches’ favorite hiding spots.
Her new favorite spot is Harry’s beanbag chair. Anyone in her position would do the same, obviously.

Call it a Night
It’s the bottom of the fourth. The Red Sox are up 9-3. I have to sleep. I’m dozing off already.
Keep going Red Sox. Foot on the gas, as it were.
Yet Another Grand Slam
I had a bad nights sleep last night thanks to a naughty smoke alarm. I was really hoping the Red Sox would take a huge early lead so that I could go to sleep worry free.
Then came the bottom of the second. Six runs including four from the third grand slam in two games.
Glorious.
Of course, 6-0 against the Astros hardly feels comfortable.
Keep up the good work, Red Sox.

3:45 AM I’m awakened from a nice happy sleep by the smoke alarm in the hallway.
Beep, beep, beep. Beep, beep, beep. then silence.
Wait a couple of minutes… nothing.
Huh.
I know it was the hallway because they have an indicator light that turns on if they detect something. The indicator light for smoke is on, but not carbon monoxide.
Wait a couple more minutes… nothing.
Well now what?
I changed the batteries and now I’m sitting up for a while to be certain nothing is going on.

FTWD Bad Writing Moment of the Week
Spoilers ahead, two paragraphs down. Nothing specific, but be warned.
Every episode of Fear the Walking Dead seems to have one moment where they tried to write something cool without having any grasp on the way things work in reality.
There was a scene tonight where they were fighting off zeds in heavy fog at night. They had been hiding inside a lighthouse. They turned on the lighthouse light in order to see what they were doing… at the base of the lighthouse… because none of the writers have ever seen how a lighthouse works.

The “Downside” of British Bake Off
If there is a downside to watching the Great British Bake Off it is that the chances of eating cake go up massively after the cake week episode. Like, massively.
