The Falcon

Next ride will be in September, if the current plans hold together.

I still can’t believe I’ve seen a life sized Millennium Falcon. I mean… come on! Looks like some point in September will bring us to the California version of the Falcon too. Can’t freakin’ wait!

No Sunrise for Me

I woke up early today with every intention of getting some sunrise at the ocean pics. It’s the first day of daylight savings and the sunrise is super late in the morning, the skies are supposed to be clear, it’s perfect.

Then I saw the temperature was 29 degrees and I completely changed my mind.

Maybe when it’s a smidge warmer in the morning.

Maybe when it’s Spring.

Marvel Catch Up

I am thinking about making this weekend my Marvel Movie Catch Up Weekend. I’m already halfway there. Only the two most recent movies hadn’t been seen, and now only the most recent.

Harry and I watched Wakanda Forever today. He’d already seen it. I liked it. It wasn’t as good as the first Black Panther. I found the bad guys kinda too goofy. Also, minor spoiler risk, there was a funeral scene that I found very difficult. Too close to home, I think.

Ant Man 3 is the only movie left now. I’m trying to talk everyone into going to the theater to see it tomorrow. I know the reviews are bad, but I hear that the fan reactions are quite a bit more positive. I think it’s worth a look. I should check to see if it’s playing at our local theater tomorrow. Hold on a second or two…

It’s playing, but no matinees. I checked Methuen, Lowell, and Salem, NH. Same at all three. Maybe I’ll wait for Disney+.

Forgotten Roll of Film

I thought my film camera was empty. I was going to put my last roll of black and white film into it and test drive it with Dad’s cheap zoom lens.

Turns out I was wrong. I put a roll of color film into my camera on our last day at Disney World and then never took a single shot. I put Dad’s lens on it, but I’ll have to wait for 36 shots before I load another black and white roll.

It’s supposed to snow all day tomorrow, though no accumulation thankfully, but it’s supposed to be sunny out on Sunday at dawn. I’m thinking of taking the new mirrorless camera and one, if not both, film camera out that morning. Possibly to the ocean for some sunrise pics. My film camera has 36 shots left. Dad’s has 20.

In other news, Harry is on the way. He’s somewhere in New Hampshire though he hasn’t reached route 93 yet. He’ll be here in a couple of hours, I think. Drive safe, Harry!

Happy Mini Split Morning

It’s Friday morning and we are having our new mini split HVAC system installed today. They didn’t give us a window for arrival so we were assuming sometime this morning. At 6:30am we got a “we’re on our way” text. Yikes, that’s super early!

At 7:45 a pick up truck parked in front of the house. There is one guy in it and he’s been sitting there for 15 minutes. Is he waiting for more people? Is he waiting for 8:00am? No, because it’s 8:01 right now. What’s he waiting for?

The cats, the cat food, and the litter boxes are closed up in Bellana’s room. Another truck just pulled up. I think we are just about good to go!
