I'm wicked tall.

Detour

We took a detour on our way to Disney World to visit the site of the oldest settlement in North America. St Augustine, FL.

We just went to one site, an old fort whose name escapes me at the moment. I bought a souvenir refrigerator magnet with the name on it. When I fish it out I’ll share it.

We are back on track now though. We are about an hour away from tonight’s hotel.

We haven’t even reached our first destination yet and it’s already been a great trip.

  • Saying the absolute wrong thing at the utmost inappropriate moment
  • Guilt, mostly when directed at myself
  • Talking endlessly about weight loss surgery recovery to people who don’t care in the slightest

Welcome to Georgia

We are in a hotel room about three miles north of the Georgia/Florida state line. We could have made it into Florida tonight, but we just decided not to. We left the last hotel at 6:00am and stopped a little before 9:00pm.

It’s been a long day. Seriously.
