The kids got here a couple of hours ago. That makes me very happy.

The Book of Boba Fett is on tonight. I don’t know if anyone will want to watch it with me. I liked the first episode, but I think I might have been the only one in the house who did. I did some music before work this morning. I put a MIDI bass part onto one of the two new January song ideas. No melody yet. Nothing to sing. I have a few re-records ready for vocals, but I want to have something new to sing before I go for the drive again.
The Bruins won last night. They are 3-0 since coming back from the Covid shut down. They play Minnesota tomorrow. Keep the streak going.

When a bunch of trump cult maga terrorists tried to violently overturn the 2020 presidential election? The speech boils down to this: We’re working on it. That’s all I wanted to hear, Merrick. Well… maybe that and you’re planning on picking up the pace. Fascist heads need to roll.

The word coming out of Washington is that if cheeto doesn’t resign, or Pence and the cabinet do not enact the 25th Amendment and remove trump from power, they will begin impeachment proceedings by Monday.
Trumps term ends in 12 days. Just imagine the amount of damage the deranged, fascist, lunatic can do in 12 days. He needs to be removed now. Right now. Immediately. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Cabinet members are resigning left and right. They are saying that cheeto’s terrorist attack on the Congress is the reason but that’s a clear lie. They are resigning because they don’t want to be part of the 25th Amendment discussion. Cowards. Fascists. Traitors. But, they aren’t actually breaking any laws so what can you do?
Monday is January 11th. The inauguration is January 20th. Why are we wasting three days? Start the impeachment process right now. It’s not like there’s a lot of investigating to do. Literally everything happened either on television or in front of your eyes. We all saw all of it. Impeach him right now. Immediately.

How long does a modern TV last? This morning Jen started thinking about a new TV. We don’t need a new TV, I said. When did we buy our current living room TV, she asked. Off to the blog I go!
The blog holds all the answers. The new TV was purchased on September 28, 2014. Just shy of six years ago. The blog is wise. The blog knows.
So then we asked how long do TVs tend to last these days? Off to Google Jen goes! 5-7 years. Well, that settles it then. Conspicuous Consumerism dictates that we need a new TV. We’re going to hold off until Christmas… I think. We agreed to that, but Jen is hovering around BestBuy.com which means maybe she won’t be able to wait.
Second Saturday note: UPS again… oh boy. Just when I came to grips with the fact that I was going to have to file a claim with GuitarCenter.com over the amplifier that will never be shipped, UPS updated the tracking number to say that once again (take three) it is on a truck and out for delivery. The estimated delivery date/time is today by 9:00PM. I’m taking bets on what time this afternoon they change that date to Monday. Anyone?
The third Saturday note is the only actually important one. There is a story suggesting that Russia paid bounties to the Taliban for killing American soldiers. It is also being said that trump knew about it and did nothing.
