Car music happened this morning. I recorded vocals for four songs while sitting in the car in an empty parking lot next to a giant snow bank.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get out and record more vocals in the car before work tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
I ran a bunch of errands today and took a few pictures. I wanted to take a few more but got distracted while I was doing stuff and failed. Oh well.
Was today the first car music of 2024? I think so.
I snuck out of the house a few minutes after 7:30, got to the movie theater parking lot (which wasn’t quite as empty as I like it to be) by 7:40 and recorded vocals for two songs until 8:25. I didn’t have time for any more, and even if I did I might not have. It was a struggle today. My voice was very scratchy and I’m not terribly pleased with the results… then again I am never pleased with the results so what difference does it make?
The upside is I now have two songs that are ready for lead guitars. The downside is that I have no calluses on the fingers on my left hand so recording lead guitars is going to hurt a bit. I can hack it though. I’m practically a pro at this… not really… whatever.

We went out looking for Xmas lights again and found a few good ones.

We went for a drive tonight to look at houses with Xmas lights. We went back to the best neighborhood in the city. The one that actually stretches across the street.
Our city Xmas tree is in front of the library. It’s epic, but people are bitching about it this year? What the hell?

Google Maps took me the long way around to get to the highway this morning. I had to go through what is known as the five corners intersection (it’s just a five way intersection, nothing more exotic than that) which passes the oldest fire station in the city. I was stopped at the light so I took today’s photo a day pic. I can see how fascinated you all are.
I went grocery shopping for some turkey day supplies today. The jar of mini onions leaked all over the place, the bowl of diced watermelon leaked all over the place, and one of the packages of pudding wasn’t sugar free. Motherpussbucket.
At least I got two bad night time pictures of the down town clock. One coming and one going.
I was left pretty annoyed by the whole trip. Stupid leaky groceries.
I went to the drugstore today and got myself a couple of vaccine shots. I got a flu vaccine and a shingles vaccine. I’m still not far enough removed from my Covid-19/Disney World experience to need a Covid booster, so I’ll probably get one of those next month.

On an unrelated note, the guitar shop posted some more photos of my guitar today. I think it’s done. New bridge, new frets, new nut. Here’s hoping I get another phone call from them tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
