30 Last Minute, Minutes

I’ve been so busy today that I didn’t even start my exercise until 9:45pm or so. I finished at about 11:30. Done.

Normal people would have started at 9:45 and ended at 10:15. When you are as morbidly out of shape as I am it doesn’t work that way. For me it’s more like exercise for a few minutes then rest and recover, then repeat for almost two hours.

I closed that 30 minute exercise ring though. I wasn’t sure I’d pull it off, but I made it. Shocking.

11 Minutes to Go

It’s 11:00. Past my bedtime.

I still have 11 minutes of exercise to do today. I’m trying to cram it all in at the last minute. My legs are so pissed off at me right now.

I’m sure Jen can get you the address to send flowers to when I kick it. Yippee.

ADDENDUM: I closed the exercise ring with 26 minutes to spare, and I lived to tell the tale.

Sleep Check

One full day without caffeine followed by one night’s sleep.

Q: Did it have any effect?
A: I don’t know.

I got eight hours of sleep last night, which is both good and rare, but it has more to do with today being Saturday than anything else. We went to bed around 11:00 last night and I was out like a light almost immediately. That is likely a side effect. The sleep numbers that my watch tracked were average, I guess. Not too different than the last couple of weeks. My restful sleep percentage might have been a touch higher but not much.

That’s one night. I wonder how things will look/feel after a few weeks/months?

Let’s find out.

The Bruins Win

The Bruins beat the Coyotes 2-1. Hard to believe it was that close against a team that bad. I’ll take it though.

The question now is, why am I still awake? The game is over. Go to bed.

My Apple Watch is charged. I was waiting for that but it’s done so go to bed.

I’m listening to music, but I can do that in the morning. Go to sleep.

I’ve got a little cut on the inside of my upper lip. Now that’s a good reason to still be awake, but it’s not that good a reason. Go to sleep.

Okay already. I’ll go to sleep. Sheesh, lay off, you jerk.

Good night.

Looking Like a Tough Day Ahead

There are a couple of things going on at work today that are going to make the day a tough one. Not really looking forward to this one. Oh well, that’s what they pay me the big bucks for (I do not actually make big bucks, more like just normal bucks).

So, anyone else suddenly seeing an increase in Apple Watch battery use? I charge to 100% in the morning, and then for months I was maybe 45-55% when I went to bed. On Monday and Tuesday I was down to the low 30’s, and last night I was down to the high teens. Did something change? My iPhone took an update a few days ago. I wonder.

Looking ahead to the weekend, it sounds like we’re going to get bitch slapped with a snow storm on Saturday. On that day we are planning something insane. Something… unbelievable. Jen wants to… rewire a light switch. I’m totally going to make you wait for more info on that. Just call me Rob the Blog Tease, oh yeah.

Bring on the Thursday.

Exercise Ring Trouble

I’ve only been back on the exercise wagon for three days, counting today. I did 30 minutes on the bike both Monday and Tuesday. With today being a vacation day I told myself that I would get all 30 minutes done early so that I wouldn’t have to worry about it later in the day.

Yeah, right.

It was around 4:30pm when I looked at my watch and saw my exercise ring at zero minutes. MuthaFuuuuu!!!!

I just finished the 30th minute. It was around 9:20pm. I feel like I am going to collapse. My heart is pounding and my legs feel like rubbery dead weight. I did it and I am happy I did it, but it is just so difficult right now. Why is it so much more difficult than it was a couple of months ago when I last tried getting on the wagon.

Why?
