Jen referred to their spot on the blanket on the back of the chair as their nest. That’s exactly right. A perfectly accurate description.

St. Augustine
We had never been to St. Augustine, Florida before. Our anniversary road trip to Disney World brought us there on a bit of a destination tangent. I would like to go back to see more someday. I think I’d rather have color film in the camera when I get there though.
Zilch
I kept precise track of how much time I spent playing guitar this weekend. Like, total accuracy right down to the second.
I played for 0.0 seconds, exactly.
I’m kind of a statistics nerd that way, you know?
Going Back Again
I Said I Wouldn’t but I Did
I was in this zone where I was buying my wife flowers regularly. No reason, I just saw them and bought them and that was it. I was spending too much money on it and Jen asked me to stop. She made it clear that she loved the sentiment, but howsabout we calm it down.
That was probably about a year ago. Today? I bought her flowers again. Sorry about that. I just had to do it.
Lake Winnipesaukee
Home Again
We are back home. We did the annual leaf peeping drive. Success. It was a little past peak everywhere we went, except for around the lakes region. It still looked pretty fantastic though.
We didn’t pull over very much so there aren’t a lot of pictures. We did stop for gas and bathrooms a couple of times, and one stop was at The Willey House on route 302. I have a few pics from there, both film and digital.
It was a nice drive. I enjoyed spending the day with my wife, the love of my life. Any time we can just be together is a thrill for me and time very well spent.
Pit Stop
Pit stop at a place that sells ice cream? Sure, why not.
Where are We?
We are somewhere on route 3. North of Mt Washington.
We have been peeping leaves from the car without pulling over. There won’t be many pictures, but that’s okay.

Film is Fun
I feel stupid over how giddy getting film scans back makes me. I am such a doofus. I am such a nerd.
One roll had a sad surprise. It was actually the same roll as the picture above. It wasn’t from Salisbury Beach though.
I took a film camera with me to my father’s for Father’s Day. I took a few really bad pictures and then promptly forgot about the whole thing.
The scans today included four bad pictures of my father. Two just sitting at the dinner table next to my sister. One had a bad light leak. Where did that come from? The other two were him seated with my niece and three nephews surrounding him. Again, one had a light leak. How? In five rolls of film shot with my Nikon FG-20 there were a total of three photos with light leaks. Or was it four. Whatever, very few. How? How did that happen.
Anyway, back on topic. Those picture of my father are probably the last pictures I ever took of him. Seeing them made my happy and sad at the same time. I miss my dad.
I warned you that the pictures were terrible.
