Contrast

Yesterday was a legendary day.

Today… not so much.

It’s the contrast that makes life interesting, ya know? Still… a little more yesterday vibe would go a long way.

Jen is making an epic quinoa dish right now. It smells so good. That should help lift a little fog.

The to do list for tonight includes another hockey prediction post. As usual, my second round picks blew chunks. Maybe I’m in the wrong business.

I need to do some music for this month too, but it’s hard to be creative when you’re too miserable to think straight. Maybe I’ll feel up to it after the quinoa.

We Are Home

We are home. We actually have been for a while.

The forecast said there was a 1% chance of rain. It poured for a bit while they were walking the graduates to their seats, then it rained again about halfway through the distribution of diplomas. It did not rain on Harry though.

Now he’s going to a school thing where they lock all the kids in the building for the night. That cuts down on the post graduation drinking. Does it also cut down on the post graduation teen pregnancies? My senior class had trouble with both of those issues.

So proud. So happy. Crazy proud.

The Pandemic is Over, I Guess

Just went to a Hallmark store to pick up a graduation card. Probably 20 people in the store, including staff. Guess how many masks.

Go on, guess.

One.

Guess which customer was wearing it.

Me.

So Covid-19 really is over then. We must be imagining all of the daily cases then. Weird, huh?

No Bottom

Word of advise:

Don’t tell yourself that it can’t get any worse than it already is because it absolutely can. You might think you’re at rock bottom but then the universe shows up with a huge, cosmic shovel and proves you wrong.

Just letting you all in on that secret. You’re welcome, folks!

Sleepy

We are hoping everyone in both houses gets a good nights sleep. Everyone but me, that is. I’m taking the first watch, so to speak.

I’m pretty sleepy though, and I’m losing the fight to stay awake, not even a cool video on Burst Les Pauls can keep me going.

Graduation is tomorrow. Time to rest up, I think.
