Thank You, Neighbor

I went out to shovel. Mr Fat Ass got as far as a path down to the snow bank at the end of the driveway. I was huffing and puffing like a steam engine on it’s last legs and I was thinking maybe I should go in and recover for a bit before having the heart attack that we all know is in my future.

Just then one of my neighbors, who was pushing his snow blower down the street, waves hello and starts in on the huge snow bank. I don’t know the guy’s name. I am not even sure which house he lives in. He has my thanks though. Sincerely. I feel like the dude might have saved me from a really bad night.

I made sure I kept digging and hopefully made it clear that we were in it together, or something like that. He blew away most of the snow bank and a big swath of driveway behind the cars.

Thank you, Sir. Thank you very much.

Is Santa Close By?

It’s snow and we have a ton of deer in the yard. Santa must be around here somewhere.

Our deer friends look cold and snowy and I’m guessing they are feeling pretty miserable right now.

Also, we haven’t gotten much more since my last snow pic post. Hopefully it’s as deep as it is going to get now. Fingers crossed.

No More Singing this Month

I did some car music this morning. I did the last three songs for the month. 20 songs all complete with the same shitty singer singing shitty.

This mound of dirty awful snow is going to be growing in the next day or so…

Also Clock.

11 Minutes to Go

It’s 11:00. Past my bedtime.

I still have 11 minutes of exercise to do today. I’m trying to cram it all in at the last minute. My legs are so pissed off at me right now.

I’m sure Jen can get you the address to send flowers to when I kick it. Yippee.

ADDENDUM: I closed the exercise ring with 26 minutes to spare, and I lived to tell the tale.

So Much Stuff – RPM2022

I worked on 13 songs today. Thirteen songs.

  • I put vocals on songs #13-17
  • I wrote the melody and lyrics for songs 18 and 19
  • I mixed songs 2 and 3
  • I put lead guitars on songs 5-7
  • I wrote song #20, including recording rhythm guitars, writing the melody, and writing the lyrics.

That’s significant progress on 13 out of 20 songs. My ears are exhausted, my finger tips are torn up, and my brain has turned to mush.

I now have three songs ready for vocals, so car music in the morning, babie.

Rock on.
