A few random photos from our day at Mission Beach in San Diego, CA. We did go for a swim in the Pacific Ocean. While, as a New Englander, the idea of having an ocean to the West instead of the East might seem wrong and also kinda silly, it is the biggest swimming pool on the planet Earth so its pretty impressive.
We tried to see the sunset on the water but the clouds did not cooperate. When I say we tried, it wasn’t just this day. It was every day we were there. The clouds never let us see the horizon.

What a wonderful way to spend the day! 😊 Mission Beach, the Pacific Ocean, and a swim together sound like a perfect combination. I had to smile at the thought of a New Englander having to adjust to an ocean on the “wrong” side! 😄🌊
And yes, calling the Pacific the biggest swimming pool on Earth certainly makes a strong case for taking a dip. Beautiful photos and beautiful memories—thanks for sharing a little piece of your San Diego day with us! ☀️
