Day 86 (yesterday) was a nightmare of stomach pain and post-gastric-bypass surgery awfulness. I woke up at 5:00 feeling pain and it didn’t go away until about 9:00pm. In short, yesterday sucked.
I did manage to put both rhythm and lead guitar tracks onto one song. I was hoping to mix something and maybe add another song to the pipeline as well, but my redesigned innards had other plans. At least I didn’t get shut out, right?
@robertjames1971.blog Have you talked to the doctor? (I had the same procedure a few years ago.)

Yup. I’m over two years out from surgery. I ate something on Thursday that I probably shouldn’t have eaten and it came back to haunt me the next day. It’s happened a few times over the year.

@robertjames1971.blog I've been pleased with the results, myself. I'm on a maintenance dose of wegovy and that's had more side effects than the surgery. The first months post surgery were touch and go as I figured what was acceptable to my newly remodeled GI tract. I feel compelled to mention it as a real option to folks (who express an interest, of course.).

I lost 200+ pounds and I feel alive again. I could not be happier with the results of the surgery. I feel like it probably saved my life. If the price I have to pay for that is every now and then my stomach getting ticked off at me for eating something wrong, then I will gladly pay that price.

I feel much the same way. Since surgery and dropping about 100 lbs, I've been running around like a kid. Sleeping better, more energy. Joined a band, even.
