We are watching Loki and Patches is not impressed.

September 3, 2019 was not a noteworthy day. At least I don’t think it was because I didn’t post anything to this blog that day.
I haven’t missed a day since. What’s the count on my current streak of consecutive days with at least one post?

I promise there is no hidden, secret meaning. It’s just a coincidence, m’kay?
Due to Nana sitting coverage last night we were not able to do our weekly Burgers and Marvel night. We have burgers and fries for dinner while watching whatever the newest episode of the current Marvel TV show on Disney+ is. Right now it’s Loki and this week is episode four out of six.
We will remedy the oversight tonight when I get home from Nana sitting and then shortly afterward Harry gets home from his totally kick ass new job (I am literally jealous).
That is all going according to the revised plan, but the revised plan leaves us open to a huge negative (apart from the given negative of me being away from home for 24 hours). What am I talking about?
Spoilers.
I still have a couple of hours to go before we watch the new episode so I might be speaking too soon, but as of right now, 5:13pm on Thursday July 1, 2021, I have not had a single spec of the episode spoiled. How did I do this? I stayed away from Tweeter, and I mostly stayed away from BookFayce. I say mostly because lunch time included some surfing around various guitar playing BookFayce groups. One guy posted that he was pissed at the universe because he bought a $150 USB 2.0 cable to use with a USB audio interface, then upgraded to a new USB interface which has the nerve to run on USB C. Really. He was ignoring the massive performance improvement because he spent $150 on a cable that is probably the most obvious example of planned obsolesces in the entire tech industry. Damn… priorities, dude.
Anyway, I have not been spoiled, though now I expect the guy who was looking for sympathy about his obsolete $150 cable that likely had the same performance metrics as a $5.00 cable you could get at any Best Buy will come flying out of the woodwork to fire a cannonade of spoilers right into my idiot face.
Whatever. The theme of this post used to be Loki but now I think it’s run on sentences. Right?
13 minutes to go until I can punch out of work.
Night…..
Day…..
I’m 10 feet tall but I can’t see the button on the door alarm. I need to take a picture to make sure I have it set correctly. I usually just delete the pictures. Today? I’m posting them. Why? No freakin’ clue.
Happy July 1st, everyone. Summer in full swing. The forecast calls for a high of 80 degrees today with rain every day for the foreseeable future. Hooray.
Today is the day that my company’s Covid-19 lock down kind of comes to an end. Prior to Covid I worked in the building four days per week and at home one. Now it’s sort of the opposite. It’s not in the office once per week, it’s more like in the office an average of once per week. Flexibility is our friend. It’s actually in the office 20% of the month… so about once per week.
I was hoping to make my first day back July 13th as my last day before lock down was March 13th and it would be funny for it to be exactly 16 months. Nope. My nana sitting schedule will not allow that. I need to sneak in at least once before the 13th.
Change of subject, I went to sleep around midnight last night and woke up a bit before 5:00. I felt okay, even though I failed to get even five hours of sleep, but my SleepWatch app is telling me my heart rate dip was garbage. It says I was in restful sleep for about three quarters of the night though, so I’ve got that going for me. It’s going to be a long day.
The 50/90 challenge starts in four days. Are you ready to be bombarded with posts regarding awful, pointless, idiotic music, guitar playing, song writing, and recording? I strongly suspect this year’s challenge will end in a crash and burn, and it will likely happen quickly. As of this moment though, I am still thinking I am on board. In fact, I was thinking about swapping out my amplifier. I don’t want to go with a two amp setup like last year. I don’t want to take up that much room in the bedroom anymore. I have been using my Vox AC15 for the last few months. This weekend before things kick off I might swap it for my Fender Bassbreaker 15 again. We’ll see.
Did I mention I have an eye doctor appointment on Saturday? Does it make me sound like an old fart when I say I am seriously looking forward to it? Probably. Okay (son of) boomer.
Right, time for my Nana Sitting duties. I need to bring her the 8:00am meds.
Until next time.
Good day, eh?
