I don’t want to share any details yet, but we’re going back to Disney World… soon. Not immediately, but very soon.
Resort room booked, park tickets arranged.
Yeah… we’re going back. I wanna take another ride on The Falcon.

Who are your current most favorite people
Daily writing prompt
Anyone who has spent five seconds on this page knows the answer to this question.
My favorite people are my wife Jen:
…and my step kids, Harry and Bellana:
They are the three people I care about the most. My three fav’s, by far.
That’s it. They are the sun my world revolves around. I love them all, more than I ever imagined I could love anyone. They make everything better.
The pics are from our trip to Disney World back in January. The two of Jen by herself are on film, the rest are digital. You know, just in case you were curious.
We are about 200 miles from home. We’ll get there sometime tomorrow, probably in the mid-afternoon, after we drop off the rental car at the airport. We were originally coming home on Monday. I booked time off from work on Monday and Tuesday. Eventually the plans changed and we were booked to come home on Sunday but I never cancelled the Monday and Tuesday time off. Now that we’ll be getting home on Sunday, though not as planned, I want to come up with some projects to work on to have something creative and productive to do on those two days off.
The weather is going to suck on Monday, but be pretty good on Tuesday. I think I will try to pull off an album-in-a-day project on Monday. I’ll start it Sunday evening, I think, and then see if I can get 30 minutes of new music written and recorded by the same time on Monday. It will all count toward the 50 songs in 90 days challenge as well.I have only ever pulled off the album-in-a-day thing once. Maybe I can get it done again.
On Tuesday, if the weather is as good as predicted, I hope to do some photography stuff. Sunrise at the ocean, then a spot or two on top. Maybe this will finally be my morning in Boston? Who knows. After the photo-walk (whatever it ends up being) is done I’ll get back to 50/90 for the rest of the day.
Either that or I’ll just watch Doctor Who for the full two days off. We’ll have to see how it goes.

What was it that John Lennon said? Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans?
The test is still running but it’s looking like a negative. We are still being overly cautious and heading home though. Just to be safe and keep everyone else at the resort safe.
It’s time for an epic Florida to Massachusetts Socially Distant Road Trip, Babie! WOOOHOOO!!!
We spent the day at Epcot Center today. In the afternoon we had a visit with a couple of New Hampshire transplant friends who now work in the parks. It was a really nice visit that ended up in one of the restaurants in the Mexico pavilion where we had a fantastic dinner.
It was a very good day. I did not take many pictures though, film or digital. Here are a few rando’s though. The light was pretty bad all day and in the evening it was total cloud cover and a major rain storm. Here’s hoping for better sun-luck at Magic Kingdom tomorrow.
I’m not going to tell you how insanely long I waited to get a shot of the monorail.

We are in a mid-level Disney resort and we LOVE it so far.

At this time tomorrow night, 24 hours from now, we will be in the air on our way South to Orlando, FL and a long weekend away at Disney World.
Our clothes are packed but we still need to pack our carry on stuff, like the laptop upon which I am currently typing this masterpiece of a blog post, and 15,000 different Apple product charging devices. My film camera is packed, along with a new roll of film I loaded into it and my spare film stash, but my digital camera and it’s charger are sitting on the desk still waiting to be put away.
My step son, Harry, is going to spend the weekend here watching over the cats. I cleaned the bathroom in anticipation of his arrival because it was getting pretty grody in there and I didn’t want him to see it. It’s all good to go now.
I have packed enough protein bars to feed an elephant for a week, no pun intended… wait a tick to let that one sink in… I’m not as physically fat and elephantine like I was a year and a half ago, but that fat elephant of a red head still lives in my brain so the fat joke is still relevant… mentally, at least. Boy did I go a long way for that one.
Lily the Cat is acting like a mentally insane feline person tonight. It’s like she knows we’re leaving tomorrow so she’s trying to impress us with as much crazy as she can while she still has us around. Freakin’ gremlin-cat.
What else… I wrote lyrics for a couple of songs tonight and also finished season 10 of the original Doctor Who. Now it’s 10:20pm and I am completely exhausted to the very core of my being and I need to go to sleep so that I can get through the work day tomorrow and get to the airport and get on the plane and get to Florida and get to the hotel sometime after midnight.
I am so ready. Florida, here we come… 24 hours from now.
I so need a vacation. Not even a vacation, really, just a break. Just a little downtime. It’s not happening this weekend. Tomorrow I have an MRI, a ton of house and yard work to do, a birthday get together for my father, and possibly a house painter/vinyl siding consult? A lot of the house and yard work will spill over to Sunday, though I checked the weather yesterday and it’s supposed to rain. At least that’s what it said yesterday, I don’t know what it’s going to say tomorrow.
I asked Jen if we could do something next weekend to decompress. I don’t care what. A day trip somewhere? Maybe? Just tell everyone we’re going away and then lock ourselves in the house and hide from the real world for a couple of days while watching bad TV? That would work. Literally anything, just so long as there are no deadlines or responsibilities or headaches or health issues. Just give us a break for a couple of days.
Next week at work is going to be super busy and probably pretty difficult. I’m looking forward to putting it in the rear view mirror, if you know what I mean.
I’m feeling okay today health wise. So far so good. My stomach was off all day yesterday. Today is much better. I even had a real breakfast today. Here’s hoping that my stomach stays on that course.
I want to take the camera (cameras) out somewhere one of these days. It’s still pretty cold in the mornings and that’s turning me off. Also, it’s always cloudy and rainy because it’s Spring in New England. Uh… just a couple of days of downtime… that’s all I ask for. Pretty please, universe… give me a break.
