Just in case any of you were wondering, unlike president numb nutz, I do denounce white supremacy.

Quote of the Year
Joe Biden, speaking for all of America:
Will you shut up, man?
One Fast Down
Raise your hand if you recently completed your first 16 hour fast and have then rewarded yourself with a nice lunch and some Pringles. Yeah, I dig that isn’t really within the spirit of the thing, but one piece at a time, am I right? I’ve also done a couple of walking-in-place sessions. I’d like to do it for 30 minutes a day (which will close the exercise ring on my Apple Watch), but being as criminally out of shape as I am, I don’t see that happening. I might be able to pull off 15 minutes a day for now. We’ll see.
So the Walking Dead announced today that it is ending after the next season. There will be a couple of spin offs following so it will effectively go on in another form. One show will center on Daryl and Carol. Another will be anthology style and could fill in back story for characters we already know. Interesting, but if it were up to me I’d just follow Judith. Also, will the comic’s end come into play? They’d have to bring a certain local sheriff back for that.
Bob Woodward, of Woodward and Bernstein and Watergate fame, has a new book coming out next week. It’s called Rage and it includes direct interviews with the fascist Cheeto in chief himself. Those interviews include one from February where the American Nazi Impeached prick tells Woodward that COVID-19 is a killer and five times worse than the flu. There’s another from March where he admits to downplaying the severity of the situation. Fuck him. Fuck him right in his pasty orange goo ass.
Kiss My Ass, Fascists
Call it a dry run for the General Election in November. I just delivered my mail in ballot for tomorrow’s Massachusetts Primary Election to Methuen City Hall. I’ll do it again in just over two months. Kiss my ass, trump, you nazi stooge you.
No Way in Hell, Cheeto
Not in this lifetime, you nazi cheeto fuck. No way in hell. Never. November 3rd is going to be the worst day of your evil, pathetic excuse for a life.
Control
Remember all those posts from Sunday when I was talking about needing to feel like there is something in this screwed up world that I have control over, even if it’s totally an illusion?
I took the trash barrels out to the street this morning and I have to say that my lawn looks great today.
I miss living in a country I felt proud of. After yesterday, I don’t know that I will ever be able to feel that way again.
Snowflake
Awww, poor nazi don.
The snowflake in chief.
The whiny bitch in chief.
The poor wittle baby in chief.
This is So Wizard
Two lines from Star Wars episode one perfectly predicted the age of Donald “nazi Don” Trump.
First, Qui Gon says to Jar Jar, “the ability to speak does not make you intelligent.”
Second, Anakin says to Qui Gon, “your buddy was about to be turned into orange goo.”
How weird is that? Maybe by this logic, nazi Don was actually the Phantom Menace all along!
One Month
My personal social distance/quarantinish experience began when I left the office at 5:30PM on Friday March 13th. Today is April 13th. I’ve been at this for a full month. I, like most of us, was initially expecting about two weeks. I think by the time I punched in to work for my first full time working at home day on the 16th we all knew it was going to be longer than we thought.
We still don’t know how long it’s going to go on. The nazi in the white house wants it all over by May, but he’s a nazi and doesn’t care if you live or die so his opinion is invalid. The idea here is still to make life easier on those who are trying to save lives. The president is more concerned with the bank accounts of the 1% than he is with saving lives. That’s the only thing he’s made clear to the American people through all of this. Money good, lives irreverent. Of course the 1/2 of the country who worships him as their false god are falling right into line with his bullshit and that means more people are definitely going to die.
Political Rant Over.
Anyway, it’s one month for me. It was one month a couple of days ago for my wife. The exact date is fuzzier for the kids. One was on spring break when it all started. The other was in the middle of a somewhat confused response that is still being straightened out. That’s not a criticism. The school systems in the United States had to redefine their entire existence overnight. It’s no wonder it was tough to figure out. I applaud them all for the progress they’ve made.
So what I’m trying to say is, happy one month quarantinaversary, everyone. Stay home!
Screw Up
The president is supposed to address the nation and declare a state of emergency. He should have done that at least a week ago. Instead he was trying to stop cruise ships from docking in US ports because he didn’t want the number of infected people to go up. That’s the kind of cunt he is.
He gave a speech the other night where he detailed some new policies. The White House immediately followed that speech with corrections to the policies he had announced just minutes before. The ban on air travel to Europe wasn’t across the board like he said it was. It doesn’t effect citizens and permanent residents. Insurance companies did not agree to waive copays for treatment as he said, only for testing. Little things like that.
If he gives another speech what will he get wrong this time? It’s fun to speculate. It’s also fucking terrifying to speculate. This man is so insanely stupid that he can’t even read a speech off of a teleprompter. Worse, he can’t hire staff who will fact check his speeches before he gives them in front of the entire globe.
Fuck that guy. I mean really, just fuck that guy.
We’re still waiting on word for how my step son’s school system is going to respond to this global pandemic. They sent out a statement today saying they were looking into it. You know, they were doing things that the rest of the region did a week ago. Way to stay ahead of the curve there.
Why do we have to be surrounded by such stupidity in a time of crisis?
It’s been a quiet day at work today. I hope it continues. We were told that we have to clean off our desks so that the operations staff can spend the next couple of weeks disinfecting the shit out of the office. I really don’t have that much stuff to hide, but I also don’t have many places to hide it. We were told we could take our desktop computers home with us to ease the telecommuting pains. I normally remote connect to my desktop from home, but it will be nice to not have to do that. I still have to figure out how to setup the VPN, and I will need to…
Shit.
I connect to the network at work via an Ethernet connection. I just spent some time with the Google to figure out how to tell if my PC can connect to a wifi network…
It can’t.
Shit.
Looks like I’ll be visiting Best Buy for a USB wifi thingie. Crap.
Telecommuting five days a week might sound like fun on paper, but I am pretty sure that by Tuesday I’m going to be sick of it. Every minor hiccup in the system is going to be magnified a million times based on the fact that I can’t over hear other people talking about it.
I had something else I was going to write about but I got distracted by the wifi thing and now I forget.
In closing: Wash your hands.
