Happy adoption anniversary, Robin!

Two Years Ago Today
Two years ago today we adopted a pair of cats. We could only take one of them home with us though. The other had a couple of medical boxes to check off so she needed to stay at the shelter a few extra days.
The two cats were a mother and a kitten. The mother was about two years old and the kitten was 4-5 months old. The mother’s name was Disco and the kitten’s name was Boogie. We changed their names when we got them home. Disco became Robin. Boogie became Lily.
It was decided that their official adoptiversaries would be celebrated as the day they came home. That means today is Robin’s adoptiversary. Happy adoptiversary, Miss Robin Sparkles.
Disco at the shelter when we saw her for the first time…
Robin hiding under the vanity in the bathroom shortly after she came home with us. She spent the first couple of days hiding. She had just been fixed so we figured she was a little extra traumatized by the whole experience.
Firsts
The first photo taken with an iPhone 16 Pro Max:
The first photo taken with an iPhone 16 Pro Max on 5x zoom. Woah!
Back Up
Is today the day?
I just backed up my iPhone…
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I skipped the 15’s entirely. The 16’s have been out for a while now but I’ve been holding off.
Is today the day that I stop holding off and finally upgrade?
We’ll see.
Is this photo of a sleeping cat the last photo I will ever take with my trusty iPhone 14 Pro Max?
Again… we’ll see.
Naps
Two cats napping on a Friday night. What excitement.
Slow Start
I had a bit of a slow start this morning. Something came up and got in the way of the normal routine, but we’re all back to normal now. So much so that I have a picture of a cat to share.
Mood Swings
When I got home they were all peaceful and adorable. Then after a few minutes they went crazy and tried to slaughter each other.
Now they are all chill and relaxed again.
Cat psychology. Who knows what they think, right?
How? Seriously, How?
How are we as a society expected to function normally when we are surrounded by this much cute? Seriously, how does the universe expect us to deal with this much adorable in one place and time? It’s just not logical!
Good News
Good news tonight. The world may be looking pretty bleak across the board, but the Boston Bruins beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2 tonight.
Also, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew ended and it was excellent! (No spoilers though)
Also, the cats watched Friends again and it’s crazy how they can’t look away.
Good news all over the place! WOOHOO!
Photo a Day: Record Player Cat
Sometimes she just begs me to take her photo. I don’t necessarily want to, I just have to. You know what I mean?
Photo a day number 136 of 365. Another distraction from the imminent end of our society.
