I’ve already written about everything I did on day 36 (yesterday) but I’ll write it again.
I recorded rhythm guitars for one song and lead guitar on another. Not a lot of progress, but enough for a Thursday.

I feel better about my place in the universe now.
I got up, did my exercise for the day, ate breakfast, and played the guitar. I learned two songs for tonight’s band practice. One of them requires a capo! What the hell, bro? I own a capo but I haven’t a clue where it is. I tuned the guitar up a full step to F# and learned the song that way. I’ll have to get a capo this weekend and re-learn the song for next time. There was a third song on our to do list but I seem to recall our singer saying to drop it. I hope so because there is a keyboard part that will tie my hands in an a knot if I have to play it.
After working on the new songs for the band, I recorded rhythm guitar parts for one song and lead parts for another! We had band progress and 50/90 challenge progress. Epic!
And even with all that music, I was not late for work! WOOHOO!
Day 35 was exactly the same as day 34, which was exactly the same as day 33.
Two new songs. Song form, MIDI bass and drums. The total count is up to 37.
Day 36 (today) might end up as a zero progress day because we have the first band practice in ages scheduled for tonight and I have some music to learn before hand. Wish me luck.
Day 34 is the same as day 33. Two new songs. MIDI bass and drums are done. That’s it. We’re up to 35 songs in the pipeline now. I’m going to need to start recording guitars and writing lyrics soon. I need to get some momentum going again and I need to do it soon.
Not a lot happened on day 33, but what I got to was okay.
Two new songs. The pipeline is up to 33 now. Both newbies have MIDI Bass and drums. They were both noodled out starting with bass lines. I have a sneaking suspicion that one of them is going to end up being too difficult to play on the guitar. We’ll see.
Day 32 (yesterday) was a good day.
It started with adding vocal tracks to five songs. Next I came up with MIDI bass and drums and the song form for three songs. Next, two of those new song forms and one additional song got rhythm guitars. Finally, one of the morning’s vocals got lead guitars.
Today (day 33) is an office day for me so the time is going to be short. I’ll do what I can and see what happens.
Did I play any guitar today? Why yes, yes I did. rhythm guitars on three songs and lead on one. I played my number one, my Les Paul Custom. It went well. I am hoping I have a little more playing in me for later this afternoon. Here’s hoping.
I was much later getting started than I like to be but I did pull off a car music this morning. I put vocals on five songs. I now have songs that are ready for some guitar tracks. Maybe we’ll pick some of those off today too. This might be a good day, I think.
Pictures… not iPhone, but Z5. I took my camera with me. Two days in a row I took it outside. Nice.
Lyrics. Lots of lyrics. Melodies too. Five songs in total. Enough to justify a car music trip to start day 32… assuming I can get my shit together here. I overslept a little and I have a few things to do before I sing in the car.
Get to it, Robert.
Day 30 wasn’t terribly active but I wasn’t shut out. I added one new song idea. Just a couple of bass riffs.
That’s it.
The weekend is here now, so hopefully I’ll have more to report for the next couple of days.
