Today’s Photo a Day

I only played for a few minutes this morning. I noodled on a song idea. It’s not much of anything and I don’t know if I will even do anything with it. I’m feeling a little creatively brain fried right now. Not sure why.

I’m about to punch in to work. We’re going to be at half strength today. Hopefully being Columbus Day means that most people will have the day off and we won’t have a lot of issues to deal with. There were a few things going on over the weekend that some of my staff may have been pulled into. I will get a status update on all of that shortly. Hopefully it stays quiet.

Okay then, let’s get this Monday started. Duck and cover, folks… here we go!

Back Home

We’re back home. We were out for about five hours. The trip was a bit of a bust from the leaf peeping and photo taking point of view. From the perspective of Jen and me jumping in the car and road trippin’ for the hell of it, it was a total success.

We didn’t stop anywhere. As soon as we got North of Concord, NH the clouds moved in and everything looked gloomy and bad. We dipped our toes into the White Mountain region and then turned around and took the long way home.

I took exactly one photograph:

Photo a Day Post

Today’s Photo a Day photo is a candle because I am getting tired of using guitars and cats every day and I can’t leave the house and use something else. Sigh with Covid-19 frustration.

Maybe I’ll test again tomorrow and then I’ll be able to leave the house and see the world again.

Photo a Day

I did my morning routine in the cellar today, unlike the past two weeks where I’ve done it in the living room and had the cats hanging out by the windows for my morning photo-a-day moments. Today we’re back to the guitars. Now I just have to work up the energy to… ya know… actually play the guitars.

Black and white filter today, just for schnitzengiggles.

I almost talked Jen into letting me buy a thousand dollar point and shoot camera today. Heh heh. No, I’d rather spend the money on guitar maintenance… assuming I ever get over Covid and can do business with people face to face again. Stupid ‘rona.

28mm Cats

I’ve been using a 40mm lens exclusively for the last nine months or so. Using a 28mm lens now feels weird somehow. I didn’t think it would be quite this different but it is.

I’ve been following cats around this morning shooting them in low light. None of these look terribly good, but I’m liking them anyway.

Friday Morning Music

I over slept a little today, and then took longer than usual to get my act together. That means I didn’t have a lot of time for music. I did get to spend about 45 minutes working on one song. Yesterday I started… I think… four new song ideas? One got guitars, one got a full song form, and then one song I started a few days ago (the only song I touched in the first six days of September) got a full song form. That last one was the one I put guitars on today.

Tonight I have to write lyrics. I need to do singing in the car both days this weekend. I need to have songs ready to mix by the time our Florida trip starts so that I can have something to do while we’re away and I can’t sleep at night because I am not in my own bed. You know how that goes, right? Although, I do expect to be physically wrecked after full days in the Disney World parks. You know how that goes, right?

Anyway, some photos.
