I was much later getting started than I like to be but I did pull off a car music this morning. I put vocals on five songs. I now have songs that are ready for some guitar tracks. Maybe we’ll pick some of those off today too. This might be a good day, I think.
Pictures… not iPhone, but Z5. I took my camera with me. Two days in a row I took it outside. Nice.
I only took one photo, and it’s the same photo I take every time I go to the sugar free bakery in Salem, NH. I just took it with my Nikon instead of my iPhone.
I got up from my desk and walked out to the kitchen to heat up the air fryer and start cooking some lunch. When I walked back into Harry’s room, Robin Sparkles was laying down on the day-bed. I reached into my pocket for my iPhone and then stopped myself. My Z5 was literally three feet away. If I want to start using the real camera instead of my phone camera then I actually have to stop reaching for my phone, right?
I picked up my Z5 and snapped a picture of Miss Robin. There. Let’s adjust that mindset, Robbie. Let’s do it. Let’s get back to using the real camera instead of the iPhone camera. I need to get a new point and shoot if I am going to move away from the iPhone again. Something pocket sized, and no one makes those anymore. At least they don’t make decent ones anymore. Well… Nikon doesn’t make them anymore. Ugh.
I haven’t had my Nikon Z5 available for the last week and a half. When my step son is home in Vermont I work from home at a desk in his bedroom. When he comes home to stay with us I stay out of his bedroom and work from home at a desk in the cellar. For the last week and a half he has been home with us. At the time he came home, my Z5 (and both of my film cameras) were in his room on the desk. They stayed there while he was home because I don’t like sneaking into his space, probably because I feel a little guilty about using his room for work.
He went back to Vermont yesterday so I’m back in his room today and I have my cameras again! Today’s photo a day picture is a mirrorless sucker!
I also moved the plants that are clipped from my step daughter’s plant back into his room too. They spent the week and a half in the living room on the bay window. The cats ate a couple of leaves off of one of them.
I want to try to use the mirrorless camera for the every photo over the last month of the current photo a day thing, but I doubt I will be able to do that. I’m too dependent on my iPhone. sorry.
The bird feeders are full again. It only took them a few days to blow through four whole bird feeders worth of seeds. That probably means I am going to slow down on the feeder fillings in the near future. For today though, we’re full once more.
