The cats are napping and I wish I was napping too.
I didn’t have my phone with me when I stumbled upon this scene. Thankfully the cats waited patiently while I went and picked it up. Snap.
The folks over at the RPM Challenge website have been running a second challenge for a few years now. Record Every Month. Write, record, and submit one song each month, just to sort of keep things warmed up for the next February album in a month thing. I usually play along, but I sometimes miss a month here and there.
I’ve been planning on doing it this month but here we are on the 22nd and I had nothing to show for it. Until tonight that is. Last year I broadened the scope of the thing to record a single every month. Two songs. An A-side and a B-side. Tonight I worked out a song form with MIDI drums and bass for two songs. The ball is officially rolling, folks.
While I was working on these two stink burgers, this happened:
The cats are going out of their way to be extra friendly and cute tonight. I should check their litter box or something.
I snapped a couple of cat pics while I was cooking my lunch.
Two cat pics from this morning that I forgot to post, because… just because.
Lily is a climber. This is the highest spot in the kitchen that she can reach.
Robin is a little more of a mellow cat. She just likes to hang out.
The cats don’t tend to visit me while I am working, but for some reason they did today. Maybe they know I am in my step son’s bed room and he’s flying home from the UK today. He is currently in the air, on his way to London to grab a connecting flight to Boston. Can the cats sense that?
Anyway, I took some pic because that’s what I do.
Lily promised me she wasn’t the one who messes with the plant clipping I wrote about yesterday.
Yeah, whatever you say, feline. Whatever you say.
One cat is not hiding…
The other cat is hiding (can you see her?)…
Is Lily trying to tell us that she misses my step kids?
And yes, there are two copies of the same picture (from 2007), one on either side of her.
