I have punched out for the day. Kick ass, dude! Only one work day left until my favorite four day weekend of the year. Patches is excited for me. She’s so excited I had to break out the old Hipstamatic Shake to Shuffle!
Hipstakitty is back! Or is it better as Hipsta-kitty. I can’t decide.
My beautiful wife Jen said she was kinda in the mood for a movie tonight. A Marvel movie. Sure, I said. Pick one. There are about 100 to chose from.
She picked Captain America: Civil War.
Now if you were curious as to why I’m so out of my mind in love with her, take this as one of the billion reasons.

It’s still four days before Thanksgiving, but we have officially reached critical christmas mass.

We don’t have a real tree yet so we have a temp tree as a place holder. Only 34 days until Xmas.
There is oh, so much Christmas stuff in this old house.
As the cat strolls into my room with a jaunty “meow” or two, I pause to wonder what she’s thinking….
Is she thinking, “when are the kids going to wake up so that I can hang out with them?”
Or is she thinking, “why are the kids’ bedroom doors both shut? I wanna go in there and vomit on their pillows.”
I cannot say for sure what she’s thinking, but if I were a betting man I would guess it was one of those two things…. Probably the pukey one.
I’m temporarily a Windows user outside of business hours, so this….
Should I look into upgrading to Windows 11? It is called Windows 11, isn’t it?
Patches the cat is super happy that the kids are home. Can’t you tell?
We left our Christmas lights from last year hung up along the edge of the roof. A few weeks ago I noticed a spot near the end of the string where it was broken. Crap. I guess we have to replace them this year.
That’s where things started getting weird. The lights were wrapped around the railings next to the stairs leading up to our two front doors. Strangely, the wires have been broken all over the railings and all of the bulbs are gone. What the hell?
Now there are 3-4 places along the edge of the roof where the strand has been broken, and again many of the bulbs are gone.
Over the last week or so I have started seeing bulbs in random places in the yard. Once I saw three of them in the back yard next to the house. For reference, we didn’t hang any lights on the back of the house. Today if you were to look in the same spot, all three bulbs are gone.
There is, however, a bulb on the fire pit, and other bulbs in random places in the back or on the sides of the house, nowhere near where the lights were hung.
So there are two questions to ask. First, which critters are chewing the lights off of our house, and two, if I put up new lights are the same critters going to chew through those as well?
