I want to vote tomorrow morning before work, if I can. The early voting polls open at 8:00am. I think I can pull it off. I’m hoping my wife can go with me. If she can’t then it won’t be Friday because of work, or Saturday because of travel, so Sunday?
I won’t be able to play any guitar before work tomorrow if we go to vote. Friday might work. Saturday is highly unlikely. Sunday? Maybe. We’ll have to see.
I took these this morning after finishing my exercise for the day. I thought I might use one for the photo a day thing, but I went with a cat pic from the previous post.
Guitar noodling on Friday. Two days from now. Make it so.
Welcome to Monday morning, friends and neighbors and readers and only friends… that’s a bit of a mixed metaphore/movie reference there, huh?
I’m working in the office today and I am ready to go but it’s too early so I am writing a post. Is that a little too inside baseball? Is that a little too much of how the sausage is made?
I’m in a fuckin’ weird mood this morning. Sorry. The Bruins season starts tomorrow. It probably has something to do with today being weird.
Anyway. I need a new guitar project. I’ve got a couple of things that were put on pause that I should probably get back to. We’ll see.
I have a guitar project for this weekend. I need to do some research first.
There is some nasty fret buzz around the second fret on my ES-335. Here’s hoping it’s something I can fix myself. I certainly hope so considering I had a professional work on it just a few months ago.
This year’s challenge is now officially over. 90 days in the books. Thanks for coming along on my journey through silliness.
The next internet based musical songwriting/recording challenge kicks off on November 1st. National Solo Album Month. I’m not sure if I am going to play along this year. 50/90 took a lot out of me. We’ll see.
This year’s 50 songs in 90 days challenge equates to more like 57 songs in 89 days. I am done. I mixed the last four songs. I didn’t mix them well (just quick and dirty) but they are done and now so am I. I hit all of my goofy little goals.
50 songs
10 songs started and finished within each calendar month
More songs than any of my previous 50/90 successes (my record was 52)
And there we have it, folks. My forth successful summer challenge. I guess the next step is to pick around 10 songs that aren’t as awful as the rest and edit, rewrite, and rerecord them into a sort of album-ish project. Maybe that will be my task for day 90. We’ll see.
It’s Monday and I am not happy about it. I’m in the office today. Boo. I am dealing with a little lingering after effect of Friday’s stomach issues. I will not describe because it’s super TMI stuff and it’s not anything bad. I don’t feel sick, I just feel… uncomfortable. Other than that, everything is okay.
Well… everything is okay except that it is Monday and the weekend is over and that makes me sad. I did get to watch the new Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon show this morning while doing my jogging (pronounced “yogging”) in place this morning. I also spent a few minutes with my little dumbbell set… the way my doctor suggested I should… over a year ago… and I never do. How many times do you need to do something before it becomes a habit? Is it three? Is it three million? Curling that little dumbbell thing, that needs to become a habit.
Anyway, this Walking Dead fanboy/apologist enjoyed the new episode and is looking forward to next week.
I’m not sure where I am going with this post. I’m running a utility at work right now and just watching the numbers flip by on the screen and I’m writing this to fill up space while I wait for the utility to complete. That’s the point of this post. I guess. What was I talking about?
Here’s today’s photo a day thing:
I don’t know what else to write about now. Maybe I’ll come up with something at lunch. We’ll see.
I wish I was working from home today. Don’t we all?
I think I am going to miss these first thing in the morning posts once this year’s challenge is all over. I always try to do this but I’ve never managed to do it for the full 90 days. Another challenge completed? Sort of.
Yesterday, day 88, I put vocals on four songs. Then I put both rhythm and lead guitars onto two songs. Finally I mixed three songs. All that’s left now is to mix the last four. I technically have two days to do it but I sort of see this little project as needing to be over before the calendar strikes October. We’ll see if I can wrap it up tonight (day 89). Today is a work-in-the-office day so I lost a lot of time to my commute.
