Nice comeback win for the Bruins. They won 3-2 in overtime.
…and all was right with the world.

The Bruins are losing to the Flyers.
2-1 with 2:30 left in the third.
We are not making the playoffs, are we.
I hate the Flyers.
Today’s blogging 101 prompt is to identify your target audience, and write a post directed at them.
I’ve been struggling with this idea (well… not really struggling) since I started using Blogger a little more than six years ago. Who was I writing to? Who did I want to read what I wrote? Do I want to pick a specific topic and stick to it?
No. I wanted it to be a source for any stray idea that popped into my pea brain. No topic. If I wanted to post about photography, I would post about photography.

If I wanted to post about music, I would post about music.
(and hey, did anyone else know you could embed tracks from spotify into wordpress.com posts? I didn’t, but I do now. It’s possible an entire new world of goofiness may have just opened to me)
If I want to post about the Red Sox (I’m seeing a .500 team with an amazing offense and a mediocre pitching staff, and what do you mean Castillo is already injured?) or the Bruins (what do you mean Connolly is already injured?) I will. If I want to post millions of camera phone pictures of my cat acting like a lazy asshole, then I will.
What it comes down to is simple. I will write whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like it.
Does that mean I don’t have a target audience? Maybe, but no. It does not. There is a target audience. There is someone for whom each post is targeted.
Hi Jen. I love you with all my heart. I hope your having a good morning at work. Smoooooch.
The NHL just announced that the 2016 Winter Classic will be the Boston Bruins vs the Montreal Canadians at Gillette Stadium.
I’ve never been to Gillette. If it weren’t for the whole winter aspect, I’d be really psyched.
The Boston Bruins have won five games in a row after going on an epically bad losing streak. I think I know who is responsible for the turn around.
Me.
I’m the reason they are winning.
I was very critical of the B’s when they were losing, both on this page and on Twitter. I’m not sure how but I am convinced that word of my displeasure found its way back to the team and they responded by turning things around.
You’re welcome, Bruins fans.
Oh happiness! It’s a miracle! The Boston Bruins have won two games in a row! They have points in six straight, although three of those six are unbelievably horrible overtime losses (Carolina? Are you kidding me?).
But they beat Pittsburgh in overtime last night, and they completely dominated New Jersey tonight. Has the corner been turned? Will I be asking that same question again in the near future? Yeah, probably.
We’re back in one of the wild card spots now so I am going to enjoy this while it lasts. Which is probably just until Saturday.
Go Bruins!
Last night was bad enough, but tonight too? Two Bruins games in two nights, both starting at 8:00 instead of 7:00?
It’s starting to look like the Bruins will never win another game. The best we can hope for is shootout losses. Sure could use a forward like Jarome Iginla now, eh? Sure could use a defenseman like Johnny Boychuck now, eh?
At least Krejci might come back tonight. If not tonight then probably the next game.
The only thing worse than a 10:00 start for a Bruins game is a 10:30 start for a Bruins game.
Both Monday and Tuesday nights I went to bed with the radio on, hoping to catch some of the game before zonking out. Monday was a complete fail. Last night I did catch a few minutes, but not from the beginning. I woke up, couldn’t tell what period it was, shut it off, went to sleep.
Oh yeah, they lost both games. Hooray. One more California game to go, on Thursday, before they have a more palatable 8:00 start in Arizona on Saturday.
West coast road trips suck. They are just the pits.
So… remember a couple of days ago when I said that I fell off the wagon on Friday but was back on the wagon on Saturday?
Well I fell off the wagon on Sunday.
I was home with my step son. We were watching Star Wars movies. There was this big tub of pretzels. I tried to fight them off but I couldn’t, and next thing I know half the tub was in my stomach. I didn’t want to eat them all, I just did. Then later I had a buffalo chicken dinner with 40 tons of french fries from a pizza/sub shop in town. I didn’t want to eat it all, I just did.
It’s over though. It’s Monday now and I am back on the wagon again. I’ve been good today. I will do my best to be good tomorrow. I will not try to continue to be good. As Yoda said, Do or do not, there is no try. I choose to do!
Thank you for the moral support, Yoda! I for one did not think it was ridiculous when you put down your cane and started kicking ass with your miniature light saber. I thought, well they don’t call him Master for nuttin’!
Speaking of ridiculous, go to Google news and search for articles about the new Star Wars Episode VII trailer. The articles themselves aren’t necessarily ridiculous, but the comment sections… Oh. My. God. Wow. Just… Wow.
I’m sorry. I’m feeling a little cynical. I get this way when I really, really need to see a Bruins game and they are playing on the west coast. I mean, really. 10:00pm start times just blow chunks all over the ice.
So the two pedals I bought yesterday were used at a band practice last night. The tuner was no big deal, except that it is actually a bypass switch. When you turn it on the signal goes in but not out. I thought there was something wrong. I plugged in the input and switched it on, then plugged in all of my other pedals and turned on the amp and… nothing. It only took a minute to figure it out though.
As for the phaser… sah-WEEET.
I am hoping to mix a song for NaSoAlMo tonight. I’m telecommuting tomorrow too so hopefully I’ll make a big push to finish off the four remaining songs.
Before that though…
Chicken, quinoa, broccoli, and the Bruins (hopefully) kicking the crap out of the Penguins.
