More Music Again

Last night I started what is now the 10th song. This morning I recorded a vocal on the old Tempest Fero song, and rhythm guitar on the new song.

March Music

Who is freakishly tall, has glow in the dark red hair, and recorded a vocal this morning before he left for work?

Me!

The music project is still alive. I had two songs that already had lyrics but did not yet have vocals. I recorded one of them today. So I didn’t actually write anything, but at least I did something.

I’ve got six days left. Frankly there is no way in hell this gets finished this month, but I’m still pluggin’ away. I need to get one more song underway to keep to the RPM Challenge laws. I’ve got nine in progress and the running time is a few seconds more than 30 minutes. That puts me below both goals. I need to get cracking on one more. Then there are rhythm guitars for six songs, vocals for eight, lyrics for seven, and lead guitars and final mixing for all ten.

Here’s a hypothetical…

Let’s say I don’t finish by April 1st. How do I handle that? Do I turn the March project into March/April? Or (and this is insanity) do I start a new project for April and work on both at the same time?

I’m leaning toward the latter… because I’m stupid like that.

You Turkey

Last night when Jen got home from work she saw a huge turkey in the back yard. Right now, a few minutes before sunrise, I can hear gobble gobbling coming from out back. It sounds like a thanksgiving pre-game out there.

Once again, I love our back yard wild kingdom.

I just ate a bag of Cadbury Mini-Eggs.

They make Easter season worth celebrating. Imagine M&M’s except they are as close to junk food perfection as science can get.

Sands Bridge Thoughts

I mentioned the other day that part of the Sands Bridge had collapsed. I didn’t realize I had a picture of it. I think it is worse now, but looking at this pic I am not so sure anymore. I will get back there one day soon. The snow we’re supposed to be getting this week will of course mess up everything, as it always does when it snows after the first day of Spring.

March Music Update

I got some music in today. Surprised? I am!

I recorded rhythm guitars for two songs, worked out the arrangement for the most recent iPad thingie that was just three separate riffs, and started another couple of riff ideas on the iPad. So there are 9 songs (about 30 minutes) that are actually underway recording wise. There are now three that are just in the rough idea stage.

Again, no way this gets done by April 1st, but all of this crap will get done.
