The Downside of Cellar Upgrades

What’s the downside of all the cellar upgrade fun? Laundry. Our washer and dryer have been disconnected for a couple of weeks now, and it will probably be another week before they are back online.

So what does that mean? That means I took all of our dirty laundry to a laundromat for a wash/dry/fold service. It also means all of the pants that actually fit me are out of the house and I had to dig deep into the closet in hopes of finding a pair of pre-pandemic pants that actually fit.

I was successful… sort of.

I should be able to pick it all up at lunch time. Then things won’t feel quite so… tight. Ya know?

It’s Begun

We didn’t think it was going to happen until tomorrow but it started today!

There is a little strip of new floor in the cellar! Oh happy day! I’ll share a pic after the contractor leaves. I can’t wait for it to be finished so Patches can have an entirely new floor space to barf all over.

Still in the ER.

It’s been almost 31 hours since I was last asleep in my bed. I’ve managed a couple of quick cat naps along the way. You know what? Let’s call them Power Naps.

It’s looking like my mother will be going home today with a sling on her arm. For a while there they were talking about admitting her but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

Here’s hoping this wraps up soon with her safe at home and me safe at home taking another Power Nap.

What a day, right?
