Amp sims. Pedals that digitally simulate classic amplifiers. Prepare to enter a whole new world of guitar rabbit holes, Robert. I don’t see this as a replacement for my tube amps, I see it as a quieter alternative for home recording. Finger crossed it’s acceptable.
A Whole New World

“Whoa, a whole new world indeed! I’m not sure if my amp collection would appreciate this ‘quiet revolution’, but hey, being able to jam out at home without disturbing the neighbors is a win-win in my book. Fingers crossed for the pedal purists too! That flickr pic tho… 10/10 would recommend keeping an eye on these sim amps #ampSim #GuitarGear #DigitalRevolution“

@robertjames1971.blog 3 yrs ago, I bought a Boss GT-1000Core, intending to use it only for the chorus/delay/reverb, to conserve space on my pedalboard. Last year, I decided to finally sit down with it, and figure out if I could be happy using the amp and cab modeling features. I'm very happy with them. While I don't think they necessarily replace my Mesa/Boogie amps, I would not at all feel embarrased to play a live gig going direct to PA with the Core.
