Photowalk

I went on a photowalk today. A big one. I am so sore, all over.

I had to go into the city to run an errand for my wife tonight. She and my step daughter were attending an event so I took advantage of the alone time to shoot the photos for this months installment of the Frugal Film Project in Boston.

10 minutes into the walk my watch prompted me to track a workout. Almmost exactly two hours later, after having covered more than 4.5 miles and shot two rolls of 120 film and about 1.66 rolls of 35mm film, I was back at the parking garage and I stopped the workout.

Now that I am home my legs are exhausted and my back is KILLING ME. Ooops. I’m thinking about doing another photowalk tomorrow though. I still have that third of a roll of 35mm to finish, and oddly enough, my digital camera never made it out of the bag today. I was cranking out the film photos the whole time.

In unrelated news, I don’t know how those evil nazi mother fuckers in ICE do it. I had to take one of the cats to the vet today for a check up and just putting her into the cat carrier was so much like putting her into a jail cell that I felt unbelievably guilty. Just imagine doing that to another human being. I couldn’t do it. Ever. Fuck those mother fucking nazi fucks in ICE. May they rot.

Another Crazy Day

Hope you are all having a happy, fascism-free Tuesday.

I was having a calm, yet somewhat productive day today. The minute I finished lunch all hell broke loose. It became a crazy, hectic, tense, productive day. You know how it is.

Now I am about 20 minutes away from the end of my work day and hopefully things are calming down. Everything seems covered at the moment. Breath in, breath out. You’ve got this, Robert.

I have half a personal day booked for tomorrow. Robin the Cat has a vet appointment. Just her annual check up. I have meetings booked all afternoon though, so it’s going to be busy tomorrow too. At least I’ll have three episodes of Star Wars Andor to plow through before the work day starts. They come out at 9:00 Eastern time tonight. I am ready. There was a new episodes of The Handmaids Tale over night last night. I watched it while doing my morning exercise today. It was excellent. Here’s hoping Andor holds serve on the which-show-about-people-fighting-fascism-is-more-awesome sweepstakes. At this point it’s anyone’s game.

Oh good. 10 minutes away from quitting time and it just started to rain. It’s freakin’ pouring out. Good, good.

Clean Bill of Health

Robin is home from the vet. Everything went fine. Just like her daughter, Lily three days ago, she was given a clean bill of health. Her shots are up to date and her claws have been trimmed.

All is well with both cats. We will book another check up for about a year from now. Until then, let’s not pull that carrier/prison out of storage again.

Happy healthy cats day.

Day Off

It’s 8:53am. Time to punch into work, so I think I’ll go over to Netflix and pop on a show.

HA!

I’m off today!

Some music, some TV, some cleaning, some stressing over Bellana flying to The Netherlands, some cat stress due to needing to take her to the vet.

I have a full day ahead, he said sarcastically. I think I’ll go get some breakfast.

Note: While I am being all gloaty and stuff today. Rest assured I’ll be paying for it with stress tomorrow. What goes around comes around and all that.

Hipsta-Kitty Goes to the Vet

Hipsta-Kitty went to the vet today. I took her. I had never taken any pet to any vet before. I totally feel like a nazi stooge, torturing a poor little kitty.

She spent the majority of the time in the exam room hiding under a chair.

She hates the cat carrier almost as much as I hate putting her into it. Look at her, she looks like she’s in prison. Poor little thing.
