Ambulances Again?

Last night when we went to bed we saw that there was an ambulance parked in front of our neighbors house. From the little we saw, it did not look like they were taking anyone to the hospital. They were casually packing up and leaving when we first noticed them. Still, it was scary.

This morning just as the work day was kicking off another ambulance and a fire truck pulled up to the neighbors house. Shortly after, a second ambulance came. This time they did take one of the gentlemen next door with them. The second ambulance didn’t take someone, but one of the crew got out and went into the front seat of the first ambulance. Not sure what was going on there.

They all had come and gone within about 10 minutes. I hope our next door neighbor is okay. I’m really tired of ambulances. The universe needs to knock it off.

Noise Pollution

Jen is working on a coding project. She’s basically making those little electrical signals dance a ballet inside of that iMac of hers. I am an awe. I’m not saying that because she’s my wife and I love her. I’m saying that because I am a programmer and she can do things that are so far beyond my skills that I may as well be programming using a hammer and chisel on a cave wall.

Anyway, she’s got her big headphones on and she can’t hear anything going on around her. That means she can’t hear the neighbors’ party down the street, including the massively loud music.

What am I going to do though? I have two options… Call the cops, or try to come up with a new song idea. I am taking an iOS update on my phone… so I guess it’s music time!

On a side note, at this moment they are blasting Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone”. Just last night Jen and I watched the episode of Archer where Archer and Pam kidnap Kenny Loggins to get him to play Lana’s baby shower.

It is such a small world!

(they followed “Danger Zone” with “Land Down Under” by Men at Work. It’s like 1982 ’round here!)

Am I a Bad Influence?

Each of the last two Tuesdays I have failed to put our trash out on the street for the pick up. I am a bad home owner, that is clear. This week I was determined to get it done. There are two reasons, one there is a lot of trash to go out now and two it does not smell good sitting there in the garage.

Last night, after coming home from my step daughter’s chorus concert where she was the piano accompaniment on one song and a soloist on another (she is a two instrument threat, piano and voice), I put four barrels out by the street. As I was bringing them out I remembered that it was Patriots Day. Patriots Day is a Massachusetts holiday. Is it a trash pick up holiday? I can’t remember. None of the other houses on the street had their trash out. Did that mean the pick up was on Wednesday, or did it mean that I was just earlier than everyone?

I left the trash on the street. This morning? Half of my neighbors have their trash on the street too. Does that mean they think the pick up is today too, or does that mean they saw my trash on the street and figured I knew something they didn’t know?

Am I a bad influence on my neighbors?

Neighborhood Wedding Part 2

I posted yesterday that we had a wedding on our street. Not exactly. It appears that the limo was picking up the bride to take her to the ceremony, not bringing the happy couple to the reception at the house.

Who cares, it was still pretty cool.

Neighborhood Wedding

We have been seeing a lot of people at the house three doors up the road from us. Now we know why.

A stretch limo and a Cadillac just drove around the block blaring their horns and covered with Just Married signs.

Congratulations, neighbors!
