Jen has decided that we will celebrate Lily’s birthday on October 31st. When we adopted her in January they said she was about three months old, so it works out. We picked a birthday for Robin too but I can’t remember what it was. January 15th, I think.

The Crappy Day Continues
I had a bowl of soup for lunch. Campbell’s Chicken Noodle. Classic. I thought that was safe, given that my stomach issues were fading at the time.
Nope.
The lunch time soup sat in my stomach like a dead weight for hours. At the same time, the back pain came back to me all fresh and new. I had some Tylenol before lunch and it’s safe to say it worked. I had some more about an hour ago and it’s working again. I haven’t had anything to eat in about 4.5 hours and I have to have something, but what?
I think I am going to just try a piece of bread or two. Maybe bread and butter. Something light and simple that hopefully won’t nuke my digestive system again.
Let’s see how this plays out.
In the meantime… cat picture.
Window Cats
I’m sorry, but I will never not find this adorable as all hell. Though it does give me a frequent reminder that we need to repaint after this Spring’s window installation project. Ugh.
Order: Placed
I went with a different photo lab this time. Unfortunately that means when I ship these kiddos they have to go all the way to California instead of just up the road to New Hampshire. This round is going to take a little more time.
High Climbing Cat
She’s just trying to reach all of the highest spots today.
Good Kitty
I think Robin knows that I am really pissed off at Lily right now so she’s being as cute as possible in order to stay on my good side. It’s totally working.
Bad Kitty
The cats are not allowed in the cellar because they climb on top of the central air ducts and dig their claws in.
Lily is in the cellar. She just jumped into the ceiling.
Bad kitty.
Two Hours and 10 Minutes
The distance between my home and my office building is 40 miles.
The drive to work today took two hours and 10 minutes.
Un-friggin’-believable.
I followed the traffic avoidance route generated by the Waze app. I feel I may have been in err, as it turned out.
Anyway, here is the house I am going to buy when we hit the gajillion dollar lottery some day. It’s near Minuteman National Park in Concord, MA.
Today’s Photo a Day
Today’s photo a day image sees Robin being completely offended by the unmade bed. Come on, human. Make the damn bed! Act like an adult!
Happy Patches Day
On this date in the year 2010 our family adopted a cat for the first time. Her name before she was picked up by the MSPCA shelter was Panic but they changed it to Panache. We changed it to Patches and she was the best neurotic cat who was afraid of everything and who would vomit almost daily you could ever dream of adopting. She was an amazing cat and we all loved her like crazy. She passed away on December 27, 2022 and we were very sad. Speaking for myself, I still am. I miss my little nutjob of a kitty.
