Today has been a screwy day. So screwy that I had to go looking for the cats for a little non-screwy emotional support. That’s how screwy it’s been.
The Film Has Arrived
Wins
The Bruins beat the Avalanche last night. The effin’ Mets lost to the Dodgers last night. Both good things.
This is one of my two favorite times of year as far as sports go. Hockey is starting and baseball is in the playoffs. The other favorite time of year is the opposite. Hockey in the playoffs and baseball getting up to speed. Good times.
I should also mention, while I am on the topic of good things, I got an email around 2am this morning. My film has arrived at the lab. Sweet.
Fight Night
The Battle Royale starts in 3… 2… 1…

Testing: Do Threads Posts Embed Yet?
I wonder if links to Threads posts will embed into wordpress.com posts yet. They usually code things like this into the editor eventually, but the last time I tried it didn’t work.
Nope. Let’s get on this, wordpress.com folks.
Do posts from bluesky work?
Yup. There’s that, at least.
Epic Post Office Fail
Baby Yoda Says Hello
I’m in the office today. Can you sense the excitement? Neither can I.
Traffic sucked. Lots of cars broken down on the highway for some reason. I am glad it was not contagious. I got into the car at 7:15, turned on Google Maps, and was told my 40 mile drive was going to take an hour and 27 minutes. That was before I noticed the gas tank was low. Crap. I made it on time though. Barely.
It is likely going to be a long and stressful work day today. At least it’s my last in-the-office day for this week. Looking on that bright side, folks.
Send Me Back
Jen asked me if I could find a picture from one of our trips to San Diego. I found it quickly, but now I have to spend the next three months reliving the various trips via my Flickr account. I’ll see you all again after I work it out of my system… or after I get back from my upcoming totally unplanned, spontaneous trip back there.
Haiku for You #210
I hate it when summer ends, don’t you?
Another day past.
One day further from summer.
Heading for next year.
