Merrimack River this Morning

There’s a parking lot right near the 110/113 rotary on route 93 that looks like it might once have had a boat launch but it’s pretty much fallen apart now. It’s been on my list of places to go to to shoot some Merrimack pics and today I finally stopped there.

This is what Fall looks like.

This might be my favorite of the bunch. It’s just the leaves reflecting on the water.

We haven’t gone leaf peeping in New Hampshire this year, so I just went ahead and did it at home.

Back to the Spicket

I posted the other day that someone else on Flickr posted a picture of a smashed up dock stuck on the Spicket River just above the dam. I went back today and again failed to come within a million miles of the great pic posted to Flickr.

This is the best of the new pics. Not that it’s good.

The reflection in the water is almost nice.

These are probably better than the first go around, but still not good. Was it fun? Yup!

There will be two more posts from this morning’s goofiness. One is pics from the Merrimack River, the other is 30 second exposures from the Merrimack River.

Go Red Sox

Red Sox Win Game One

The Boston Red Sox won the first game of the World Series to take a 1-0 lead over the St Louis Cardinals. John Lester was excellent for the Sox. The Cardinals defense was awful.

One win down, three wins to go. Game two is tomorrow. I can’t wait!

Go Red Sox!

Game One Update

I was thinking about live blogging the game, but I figured that would be lame even for me. I might do it tomorrow instead.

After six innings, the Red Sox lead the Cardinals 5-0. St Louis has been abysmal defensively. Lester has been pretty good. He’s been in trouble a couple of times and pitched his way out of it. Carlos Beltran injured himself robbing David Ortiz of a grand slam and he’s left the game to go to the hospital. Far be it from me to be excited over an injury but… I’ll take it if the Cardinals are giving it.

Three innings to go.

Keep it up. Go Red Sox

Game One Tonight

I’m two minutes away from quittin’ time and a touch over 2.5 hours away from the first pitch of game one of the World Series.

I am super excited!

Happy World Series Opening Day, Boston!

(okay, I guess to St. Louis too)

Screw Fox, let’s start the game now!!

No one retweeted me. Probably because all humans suck. (not you guys though, you’re all okay)

Crazy Day

So much going on, it’s crazy. The World Series starts tomorrow, and if you hadn’t heard the Boston Red Sox are involved. I ran my group meeting for the first time today and magically nothing caught fire or exploded and no one died. Can you believe it? Mac OS Maverick is downloading on this iMac as I type this. Maverick… does that mean the next OS release has to be Goose? Did I mention that the Sox are in the World Series? I really didn’t dream that, it’s the truth. I think the cat may have barfed again. I just heard her trying to bury something under the tile floor. She hasn’t figured out yet that no matter how much she digs, nothing ever gets covered up. There is going to be an update to GarageBand. Just in time for NaSoAlMo. Cool, huh?

What else…

Oh yeah, the RED SOX ARE IN THE WORLD SERIES!
