Number One is Back

I’ve only played one guitar, my Gibson ES-335 Pro, since May. That changed tonight. Tonight, the #1 came back. The Gibson Les Paul Custom. It actually felt strange and took a little while getting into the groove. I put leads on three songs. Kinda weak. Pretty repetitive. Oh well.

The good thing is, the Les Paul and the new Black Lives Matter pedal got to play together a little. Also, it was the first time the Les Paul and the AC15 played together too. They all sounded happy. They all got along. More to come.

New Strings Day

Dad’s appointment is over. I tried to do a chore for my sister but it wasn’t happening. I’ve been trying to keep up with the 30 minutes of exercise each day but my legs are so sore that walking is like dragging great big hunks of size 15 lead. I tried to setup a dehumidifier in the cellar but step one of the setup instructions says to leave the unit out of the box for 24 hours. Okay then.

Oh yeah, and I put new strings on my Les Paul. Three months of only playing the ES-335 are done… for now.

A Second Year

It just dawned on me that after finishing the photo a day challenge on August 31st, I have still taken at least one picture each day. September 7 was actually a video, but I’m saying it counts.

Should I keep going?

50 Guitars

I put rhythm guitars on four songs tonight and lead guitars on two.

I have to check my math here but… I think that’s 50 songs with rhythm guitars. 50/90 just hit a gigantic milestone. I still have a lot of lyrics and melodies to write and a lot of recording to do.
