Cell Phone Lot
Jen and I are waiting in the Orlando airport’s cell phone lot. The kids will be landing soon.
It’s a gorgeous day out here. The kids will get to see for themselves soon enough. I am excited to see them!
Our Hotel
All we need is the kids.

Disney World at Last
We’ve made it to the Disney World resort. We took a detour to visit the ocean in Daytona Beach, but we are at the hotel now. We won’t be able to check in for a while though.
The kids are in the air. We will head to the airport to pick them up shortly. The epic road trip (part 1) is over. Time to start the epic vacation!
Eight Month/Week 35 Weigh In
I’m sitting in a hotel room in Jacksonville, FL typing this post on my phone. It’s going to be quick and dirty on a day that deserves more.
Last week I weighed in at 243.6 pounds. This morning I weighed in at 238.2. The difference over the last week? Oh, just 5.4 pounds. Wow! Granted I’ve only eaten protein supplements on the road over the last 42 hours or so, so that could be a factor.
I haven’t filled out my spreadsheet yet so I will save the totals and the BMI for another time. Suffice to say that flipping the 10’s column and getting into the 230’s is amazing. Just amazing, I tells ya!
My First Black and Whites
I got the scans back from my first developed roll of black and white film today and most of the photos look pretty good! I am super excited! I can’t wait to shoot more!
These are also the first shots to test out the adapter I bought that lets me shoot my dad’s Pentax 50mm f2 prime lens on my Nikon FG-20 camera. I am so happy the combination worked! I’m going to use the hell out of it on our trip to Disney World.
Florida
We crossed the state line into Florida and immediately stopped for a hotel. We’ve been on the road for about 15 hours today. It’s time to sleep. Talk to you all in the morning. Good night.
Entering Georgia
We hit some huge traffic at the southern end of South Carolina. We are in Georgia now. Onward we roll.
Developed Film Day
I just got an email from the film lab! The scans are done! When we stop for the night I’ll be able to see the roll of film I sent out a couple of days before Christmas!
Here’s hoping they look okay! WOOHOO!!
