Finally
Today at a little after 2:00pm Eastern Daylight Savings time, the Boston Red Sox will play a home game.
Finally.
Happy Fenway Opening Day, everyone. Happy we finally will have a string of games we can actually watch on TV or listen to on the radio without sacrificing an entire night’s worth of sleep.
Finally.
The pictures are old because I haven’t been to Fenway Park in about a decade. Maybe I’ll sneak to a game this year. Maybe I’ll grab a standing room only ticket to some random night game. Standing room only, of course, because Fenway Park is not friendly to tall people. Leg room apparently wasn’t a thing in 1912 when the park first opened.

I really wanted to tour Fenway Park when we were in Boston a couple of years ago, but we weren’t even in town one whole day; it was just an excursion on our New England cruise. I’d like to come back when I have time to do Boston right, including Fenway. I’ve been to Wrigley already; I want to visit the only baseball temple still standing!

The Fenway Park tour is short and sweet, but it’s worth it (assuming they still do the same tour I did back in 2005, I think). The reality is that Fenway is kind of a dump. The seats are tiny and there is no leg room and many of them face the wrong direction, but I love every inch of the place and wish I could spend more time there.

Yeah, it’s more the history of it. I mean, Ted Williams and Yaz and Pudge played there, along with so many other legends.

The big question is who is going to win the World Series this year. Who do you think will win the World Series?

I am not sure who will win it this year, but I am pretty sure it won’t be my Red Sox.
