Errands

Get ready for a riveting post about my time out of the house running errands today!

First stop was the Methuen Police Station where I participated in early voting for the November mid-terms and took this artistic masterpiece of a park bench pic, complete with the shadow of my huge head.

Next stop was Lowes where I did a curbside pickup of something for the kitchen and some pet-safe mouse traps because mice.

Also, what the hell is this thing?

Next stop was the gas station where I got some gas. I took this because I want to be one of the cool kids on youtube who always take pictures of gas stations at night using CineStill 800T film.

The next stop, as alluded to in a previous post today, was the jewelry store where I picked up my resized wedding ring (it’s a little tight, but that’s good) and Jen’s repaired engagement ring.

Obligatory pic-of-the-side-mirror pic.

Next stop was the grocery store where I took the now obligatory cart corral series pic.

Finally, while at the grocery store I bought some bird seed to fill up the bird feeders.

After this I ate lunch and carved a pumpkin. What a day! I also watched a Bond movie last night and then watched another one while carving said pumpkin. Could it be that after the stupidity that was Moonraker, they made a pretty good all around movie in For Your Eyes Only? I mean, I’ve seen all of these movies 100 times each, but I don’t think I ever watched them in order and I was really surprised how much better For Your Eyes Only is than all of the previous Roger Moore movies. Also, it’s a Game of Thrones episode. The bad guy is played by the actor who played Grand Maester Pycelle, and one of his henchmen is played by non other than Tywin Freakin’ Lannister! I did not see that coming at all!

The Dryer is Running

The dryer is running. I disconnected the exhaust hose from both ends, expecting to replace it. I realized quickly that the hose we bought yesterday isn’t going to be long enough. I found out shortly after that the hose we bought yesterday doesn’t fit through the hole in the wall. M’kay.

So I used the cleaning snake kit thing we bought yesterday to clean the SHIT out of the hose. There was so much lint. So. Much. Lint. It’s as clean as I can get it now though so that’s good. I collapsed the hose as much as I could and ran it directly from the dryer to the vent, rather than having it snake up the wall, across the ceiling and out. I was just trying to eliminate as many angles as I could.

I hooked the old hose up to the new hose we bought yesterday and then hooked the new hose up to the dryer itself. Then I hooked the other end of the old hose to the vent in the wall. Finally, I taped the shit out of every connection. I turned the dryer on for a 50 minute timed run. The last couple of times I tried that it stopped with an error message after a few minutes. It’s been running for over 20 minutes now without issue. I threw a load of laundry into the washing machine so I could run a second load through the dryer to make sure we’re good, assuming the first continues and doesn’t halt itself.

Fingers crossed.

The duct tape is just for luck.

Also, on a totally unrelated note…

I think I am ready for Disney in January. Film, babie! Film is not dead! At least not in my little idiotic, ass backwards world.

007

I’ve been thinking about watching all of the Bond movies in order. Sort of like the Marvel rewatch, just without the Marvel. You know what I mean?

I just put on Dr No. Sean Connery just landed in Jamaica.

Also, on an unrelated note…

Heh heh heh. My first roll of higher end film? Heh heh heh.

Photo a Day Catch Up

I am not necessarily planning on putting all of the photo a day stuff onto the blog, that’s what Flickr is for, but I’m putting up yesterday and today because I can… I guess.

Yesterday:

Today:

I am 13.69% finished with this year’s photo a day. Fascinating, yes?
