Cold

The weather forecast is calling for an ass kicking snow storm tomorrow. Somewhere between one and 1.5 feet of snow. Yippee.

I’m trying to get things ready for the storm. I went grocery shopping last night so we have what we need for French Toast. (That’s a New England joke, FYI) A few minutes ago I took out the trash and the recycling, to make sure it won’t get too full at a time when it’s not easy to do.

We didn’t get any snow today, but we did see the temperature drop very low. It was three degrees Fahrenheit when I woke up this morning. By the time I finished my morning routine it was down to zero. It’s a smidge warmer than that now. I think it’s seven degrees. My point here is that when I stepped outside with my bag of trash it was so cold I started coughing. Yes, that’s right. It was so cold it was hard to breath.

I. Hate. Winter.

Not that it matters. The US government has declared open season on the citizens of the United States. A second American was slaughtered by government gestapo in Minnesota today. They are gunning us down.

Documentation Crunch Time

Remember back in the ’80s when all of those cold war movies showed the bad guys, the commies, stopping their poor oppressed citizens on the street and asking to see their papers? Remember how evil that felt? The poor saps having to cough up their legal documentation to the secret police at a moment’s notice?

I wonder why I have been thinking of that lately.

So a couple of weeks ago my US passport expired. My state drivers license is going to expire soon as well, and when I renew it I have to get the new federal “Real ID” because we live in a police state now. Unfortunately you need to have an appointment to setup the Real ID and a month ago when I booked one the best date I could get was after my license expires.

The good news is, my passport renewal went off without a hitch and I got it done WAY faster than I expected so I can use my new passport in the Real ID process. That’s cool. I wonder if I can renew my state drivers license first and then replace it a short time later with the federal document. I am guessing I would have to pay twice if I did that and I’ll be damned if I am going to give that tariffing fucker a penny more than I have to. Not that I am cynical about the collapse of my former country or anything. You know how it is.

Papers, please. Fucking authoritarian dictatorship fascist fucking fuckers.

I’m So Tired

I’m exhausted. No, really. I am so tired. My wife (the birthday girl) and I just sat down for dinner and I said, “I am too tired to chew.”

Seriously.

Why am I so tired? It might be because I can’t stop reading about how the fascists are dismantling my government. Seriously… at what point does secession become the only viable option, and are we getting close to that point? I think we might be.

I hate fascists. I seriously hate fascists. I hate them so much I need to nap for three days.

Apology Letter

I just heard that Sidney Powell (remember her?) has plead guilty in her Georgia election subversion case.

Here’s the CNN article.

Allow me to quote a portion of the story:

Fulton County prosecutors are recommending a sentence of six years probation. Powell will also be required to testify at future trials and write an apology letter to the citizens of Georgia.

Right then, let’s make this clear. What we’re saying here is that the penalty for trying to overthrow a presidential election is having to write an apology letter. Let me read it again…

Yup, six years probation, meaning no jail time, having to testify at future trials, which she would have been subpoenaed for anyway, and having to write an apology letter to the citizens of Georgia.

Yup, I think that’s what the article is saying. Rig a presidential election… write an apology letter. I’m sure it’s going to be utterly heartfelt and sincere, right?

Donald Trump has been Arrested

It’s not as awesome as I would have thought, but it’s still pretty wonderful.

CNN Reports: Donald Trump under arrest ahead of historic court appearance

The arraignment was scheduled for 2:15pm, which was about 25 minutes ago. The hearing will not be broadcast so we won’t get to watch live. I don’t know if there will be video released after the fact. I hope so.

There are apparently 34 felony counts. They are all business related though, at least in part due to the Stormy Daniels hush money. None of them are related to his attempted coup on January 6, 2021. The nazi prick needs to go away forever for that, but I’d be okay with him already being in jail when that particular sentence is announced.

I was also hoping we’d get a mug shot to revel in for a while, but some of the stories I’ve read say he is not going to have one taken. Other stories say it’s unclear if he will or not, but it’s seeming a little doubtful. Oh well.

Florida is a Fascist State

I just read an article about a bill that was submitted to the Florida state legislature that would require bloggers who write about state government officials (like that prick DeSantis) to register with the state and face fines for posts made while unregistered.

DeSantis is a nazi and the state government is a fascist, un-American body.

I guess if the bill passes I won’t be going back to Florida. That’s okay, there’s a Disney park in California too. Watch me as I refuse to surrender my rights to free speech to a nazi institution. Go on, watch me.

I was thinking about posting another film picture to close out my lunch break, but then I read that article and now I am too pissed off.

Fuck you, Florida state government. You nazi shits.

Espionage

I don’t want to spend too much time ranting about politics, but for years we have been wondering how far Cheeto Trump (I heard him called Mangolini today, as in Mango colored Mussolini… get it?) has to fall before his cult would stop backing him.

Looks like it will need to be further down the shitter than potentially selling nuclear secrets.

Trump committing espionage is forgivable to the cult, but Obama wearing a tan suit is unforgivable.

Welcome to America in the 21st century.

Catching Up on Hearing Highlights

I’ve spent the last half hour or so reading news reports from last night’s January 6th Committee hearing. I don’t think we learned much of anything new. Trump ignored it. Pence, while his life was being threatened, tried to get help to the Capitol. It was brutal. It was like a war zone. It was all based on an idiotic set of lies.

I guess what we did learn included that scumbag Bill Bar did not resign to spend more time with his family like he said. I guess lying just comes naturally to these assholes. Maybe they are allergic to the truth? He resigned because the election fraud claims were bullshit (his word) and he wanted no part in it. So instead of being honorable and patriotic, he lied and said he wanted to spend more time with his family. Thanks, dick.

Trump’s daughter/love interest said she did not agree with the claims that the election was stolen. Your daddy is going to be so mad at you. Another key figure who passed on the chance to be honorable and patriotic and do the right thing for the country. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far, yadda yadda.

Liz Cheney would make a good Republican candidate for president in 2024. Well, she would if the Republican party were still an actual thing rather than the nazi murder cult it has become. As it stands now she’d likely be one of the first in front of the firing squad rather than a potentially strong leader. She also doesn’t have a penis, so even a rational non-nazi cult Republican party would pass on her.

We’ll have to see what comes up at the next public hearing to see if we’ve learned anything useful.
