I am so happy to have been able to punch out of work today. We got a lot of good stuff done today, but it was a long day. When I punched out and came upstairs I had these two monsters waiting for me.
I made a simple dinner for me and Jen. She said it was good. There was a second there when I was pretty sure I was going to have a full blown floamies incident but after a few seconds the mashed potatoes decided to play nicely and I was okay. Now I’m watching an episode of Severance and hoping that I don’t fall asleep until I’m ready for bed, which could be in about five minutes or so. It’s 7:40. Yeah, I am bushed.
Robin is keeping me company while I watch the new episode of Ahsoka.
Lily giving me the squinty eye.

Both cats have spent some time sacked out on the ottoman tonight. Lily also spent some time sitting on my lap, which she never ever does, and it was adorable.
Well, that’s disappointing… even if it was expected…
Here are some cat pictures to cheer us all up.
Twice today, Miss Robin Sparkles the cat has allowed my beloved wife Jen to pick her up and hold her. That’s huge. Even better, the second time she hung around for a while after Jen put her down. That’s huger!
I went a little nutty with the Hipstamatic random shake to shuffle thing today. Just a little. It might be one of those days.
Command decision: Next Spring I am replacing the bird feeders. These two are pretty gross.
I give up.
I logged into work at 9:00 and started digging through over a week’s worth of emails. At 10:30 I had a meeting with my staff and my manager. My boss was the first one on the Google Meet. I was the second. He took one look at me and laughed. I said I wouldn’t say trying to work today was a mistake, but… and he laughed again.
I made it to 1:00, which was sort of my goal. I then put myself out sick for the rest of the day. Just those four hours of being “on” wore me out completely. I’m done for today.
The good news though is that when I came back to the living room the cats were adorable.
