Lounging
I Need More of This
It’s almost leaf peeping season. I need a wider angle lens for at least one of the cameras so I can take some nice wide landscape shots. I did some Googling at lunch and Best Buy has a Z mount 28mm lens for about the same amount of money I spent on my 40mm Z mount last year. Maybe. Not sure what to do about these film puppies though. I don’t have the energy to find new/used lenses for these kiddos.
I need to do some shooting before the weather goes to frozen hell. Not that our rain soaked spring and summer were anything to write home about weather wise. Ugh. Bring me to San Diego and leave me there forever. Just send me with a couple more lens options when you do.
Sleepy Cats
Both cats have spent some time sacked out on the ottoman tonight. Lily also spent some time sitting on my lap, which she never ever does, and it was adorable.
Disappointing, Though Not Surprising
Well, that’s disappointing… even if it was expected…
Here are some cat pictures to cheer us all up.
Accept the Attention
Twice today, Miss Robin Sparkles the cat has allowed my beloved wife Jen to pick her up and hold her. That’s huge. Even better, the second time she hung around for a while after Jen put her down. That’s huger!
Morning Photos
I went a little nutty with the Hipstamatic random shake to shuffle thing today. Just a little. It might be one of those days.

Command decision: Next Spring I am replacing the bird feeders. These two are pretty gross.
1:12pm on Day Five
I give up.
I logged into work at 9:00 and started digging through over a week’s worth of emails. At 10:30 I had a meeting with my staff and my manager. My boss was the first one on the Google Meet. I was the second. He took one look at me and laughed. I said I wouldn’t say trying to work today was a mistake, but… and he laughed again.
I made it to 1:00, which was sort of my goal. I then put myself out sick for the rest of the day. Just those four hours of being “on” wore me out completely. I’m done for today.
The good news though is that when I came back to the living room the cats were adorable.
Lily Strikes a Pose
Lily usually doesn’t stay in one place long enough to play the Hipstamatic Shake to Shuffle game, but she did today. Thanks, Lily Pad!
