I Said I Wouldn’t but I Did

I was in this zone where I was buying my wife flowers regularly. No reason, I just saw them and bought them and that was it. I was spending too much money on it and Jen asked me to stop. She made it clear that she loved the sentiment, but howsabout we calm it down.

That was probably about a year ago. Today? I bought her flowers again. Sorry about that. I just had to do it.

New Flowers!

The Japanese Peace Lilly is growing two new flowers!! Woohoo!!

I wonder if the plant flowers seasonally and the season is starting. It’s had one flower open for ages, months I think, and every day it seems to droop a little more. It’s still hanging in there though. It will soon have a flowery friend, and I think there is a third flower just starting to poke out of the leaves.

Woohoo!

Possible additional new flower (look close, there’s a little white thing just starting to come out):

Flowers for the Sick Girl

My wife has been sick all weekend. She has barely been able to get out of bed, the poor thing.

Twice today I had to go out and run errands. Twice today I picked up some flowers to cheer her up.

Did I overdo it?

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Get well quick lovey
I love you.

Valentine’s Day Roses

I blew the whole flowers-on-Valentine’s thing.

My wife was supposed to work from home today, so I had flowers delivered to the house.  She ended up working from the office.  DAMN!

The upside is that I actually got to see the flowers.  I always have them sent to her office, so I rarely get to see them.  This time was different.
