Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is traditionally our toughest day on a Disney trip. Today is the day.

I’m hoping we get to do the safari, and that this is the year I get to try the Avatar ride, whatever it’s called.

I’m hoping they still have a camera supply store because the strap that came with my new camera started coming undone last night. I’m sure I could fix it, but maybe I can just get something better. Also, there is a fresh roll of ColorPlus in the film camera. I put the Nikon lens back on because it zooms a little and that might come in handy if we do the safari.

No Kali river rapids today. It’s too cold.

The First Park Day

My stomach gave me a rough time for most of the day yesterday. It’s okay after a decent nights sleep. Hopefully I’ll have more opportunities to eat real food rather than just protein supplements

We are going to Epcot today for our first park visit. Yesterday was more like a travel recovery day. I have half a roll of Kodak ColorPlus in the film camera. I’ll probably bring a second roll too.

I went to the gym at about 6:00 this morning (almost an hour ago) and walked on a treadmill for half an hour. Overkill, surely, but I feel good about it.

Okay, time to start that day!

Cell Phone Lot

Jen and I are waiting in the Orlando airport’s cell phone lot. The kids will be landing soon.

It’s a gorgeous day out here. The kids will get to see for themselves soon enough. I am excited to see them!

Disney World at Last

We’ve made it to the Disney World resort. We took a detour to visit the ocean in Daytona Beach, but we are at the hotel now. We won’t be able to check in for a while though.

The kids are in the air. We will head to the airport to pick them up shortly. The epic road trip (part 1) is over. Time to start the epic vacation!
