The current count, according to ABC News, is 68,360,149 American citizens voted for donald trump.

There is still no logical justification for those two numbers happening at the same time.

Horror Movie Scenario

Picture it: Washington, DC:

The election is over. The votes are counted and Biden wins by a hair. The nation either rejoices or despairs as expected. The excitement dies down and people get on with their lives.

December 2020, the electoral college casts their votes and Trump wins a second term.

We All Lose

I needed a landslide win for Biden and an avalanche of wins for Democrats in the House and Senate. I didn’t just want it, I needed it. I needed the American people to stand up against fascism and racism and division and hate and all of it. Instead, we have exactly the same situation we had four years ago. It’s looking like one or two states might flip in favor of Biden and that could put him over the top. Then again, all of the remaining state counts are so close they could all go either way.

My feeling right now though is, win or lose, America lost last night. America was soundly defeated. Even if Biden wins, is this country worth saving anymore? I don’t know.

Watching the returns coming in. I can’t help feel like I’ve seen this before. It all feels the same way it felt in 2016 as the states start turning red. I can’t help but think we are in for four more years of fascism.

Call it for Massachusetts

The polls closed in Massachusetts at 8:00pm. By 8:03pm, ABC News had called the state for Joe Biden with 0% of the precincts reporting. You might think that sounds fishy, but in reality we could have called it at 8:00am. My state is a blue state through and through.

I don’t understand my fellow Americans. Trump is a criminal. Every word out of his mouth is a verifiable lie. Literally every word. 230,000 Americans are dead because he refuses to take any action on Covid-19.

…and there are American citizens voting for him today. It’s unbelievable. It’s unconscionable. I just don’t understand. It’s bad enough that he and the Russians rigged the last election and it’s pretty much guaranteed he is rigging it again… and American citizens are still voting for him.

How can this happen?
