When we were finished we did this…
We just watched the season four episode of Game of Thrones with Tyrion’s trial. Patches is shocked. Shocked, I say!
This shot kinda sucks. The film version required me to walk down the street a little way. I had to leave the shutter open for five seconds. I got to use my little cable release thingie. It’s going to look like black and white shit, but it’s still kinda cool in theory.
Oh yeah, and I bought more lights tonight. So… we’ll be doing this again at some upcoming date.
Thanksgiving was two days ago so…
I will take a couple of pictures of the house once the sun goes down. I’ll try to at least. The decorating is scheduled to go off the deep end starting tomorrow at some time. KaBoom, babie, it’s christmas.
Two posts back was foreshadowing for this post here.
Personally I think we should wait until at least December 18th before putting out any Christmas decorations. The rest of my family disagrees. At least Jen was nice enough to wait until the day after Thanksgiving before asking me to put this blanket on the bed. Thanks, lovey.
The guitar was played tonight. It was played through an amplifier, not through a digital amplifier simulation. It was glorious, as always.
I redid the rhythm guitar parts for three of the five NaSoAlMo songs that I did with sims over the weekend. In all honesty, the sims probably sound better than what I can get with my meager skills, but the real thing feels better when I am playing and that’s what really matters for me.
As soon as Jen left the room, Patches took over the office.
The bird feeders are empty. I’ll get some more seed tonight. Until then, here’s my DSRL using the manual lens (Nikkor 35-70 AIS 1:3.3-4.5) that came with my ebay film camera.
I think focusing with this lens is harder than manually focusing with either of Dad’s lenses. Either that or I am just too tired for my eyes to function properly. Who knows.
It occurred to me this morning that while I tried both of Dad’s manual lenses on my DSLR, I never tried the one from my film camera.
Until now.
It totally works. Nice. Expect a bird feeder pic in the near future.
It’s snowing. Aw hell, it’s friggin’ snowing. The cars and the road are covered with a dusting but still, screw you universe. Mother Nature is an asshole.
