I left the driveway for work at 7:40 or so. I drove until about 8:10 and then something came up at home and I had to turn around and head back. It took less than 10 minutes to get home.
And now you understand how Boston traffic works once Labor Day is over.
I think our kitchen remodeling project is done. We’re looking at getting a piece of art to hang in one of the empty spaces, and there are still a few things that need to find their new home, but other than that we’re done.
Proof?
See this empty space?
When we woke up this morning, our dining room set was in that empty space. Now?
I moved that insanely heavy-ass table back to where it belongs. Why? Because we’re done and we don’t need to store stuff in the dining room anymore. Done and done. The most important item to note as the project comes to a close?
I love the new kitchen. It’s wonderful. That also proves that I am a boring old person now, but whatever. I love our new kitchen.
In closing, here is Robin the kitty roaring like a lioness.

She might be yawning instead of roaring, but it’s more fun to imagine her roaring like a man eating feline monster from your nightmares. Good kitty.
I am working in the office again today so I was hoping to get my picture for today taken early, before I left the house. Fortunately Robin Sparkles the Hipsta-Kitty let me take this bad boy…
I have been terribly busy at work today so I took this pic for my photo a day challenge at lunchtime today.

Zero thought went into this, but it’s done and done. Now I have one hour and 40 minutes of work day to get through before I go and get my hair cut. What a day, kids. What a day.
Oh, and our flight home from Florida next month may have randomly been cancelled today. Hooray, right?
I had to go upstairs for something. At the top of the stairs you’re looking into my beloved wife’s office. This was what was looking back at me.
I took that with my iPhone but a few minutes later I came back with my Nikon in hopes of getting another shot. Nope. Robin had left the room and Lily was uninterested. I took this for my photo-a-day thing anyway. The light is more interesting but the cat’s pose isn’t.

I had to go looking for Robin too and I found her in the living room.
Photogenic felines are always distracting, don’t ya know.
