Random stops along the way on this summery Sunday.
Window Cat
I often catch Robin the Cat sitting in the window, but I rarely catch it from outside.
Less than a week to go in this year’s photo a day challenge. August 31st is the last day… then I start another one on September 1st, just like I have on the last five September 1sts.
Alarms
I replaced all of our smoke alarms. That pretty much guarantees the house will burn to the ground. I’m just that good at home improvement stuff.
Chef’s kiss, babie doll.
2024 50/90 Challenge Day 52/90
I worked out one new song idea while sitting in the hospital with my father. Full song form, phony bass and drums tracks complete. I thought that was going to be it for the day but then when I was too tired to think straight I started working on lyrics and melodies instead of going to sleep. I got through all five songs that were in the ready-for-lyrics bucket on the Trello board.
I can’t wait to actually read them while I’m awake and see how terrible they are.
Car music today before the hospital? Could be.
Audible Failure
I didn’t think that failing at the Audible app was a thing. You know Audible, right? Basically it’s Amazon’s audiobook subscription service?.
I didn’t think there would be a way to straight up fail at using the app, but you know what? That audiobook that I just downloaded is most definitely in German, not English.
Fail, indeed.
Hospital Visit
Just watching the Little League World Series with my dad. He’s really tired but doesn’t seem to want to sleep.
Keep Out
Why is Lowell, Massachusetts so adamant about keeping me out? Gridlock traffic on Saturday morning?
Last night was the opposite. The city wouldn’t let me leave. Gridlock traffic at 8:00pm on a Friday night?
What the hell, Lowell? I’ve always liked you. Why are you kicking my ass now? Jerk!
Good Morning, Sunshine
It’s going to be another tough one today.
2024 50/90 Challenge Day 51/90
Two songs worth of lead tracks. That’s it.
I was hoping I’d get to sneak in some more before bed but I was just too tired.
Another Visit
Back with my father again.
