No Northern Lights for Us

The Northern Lights have been visible in my little piece of Massachusetts tonight! Did we see it?

No. Don’t be silly.

We did hop in the car and drive a couple of towns to the North and parked ourselves at a park with a big open field and very little ambient light. We waited, facing North, until it got too cold and then we got back in the car and just looked North. Then after half an hour or so we just drove home.

We tried, but we didn’t see anything. No Northern Lights for us.

Oh well.

Connectivity

I am having system connectivity issues at work today. Working from home is being a jerk. Who knew?

I’m pulling my hair out of my head a little. I can do 90% of my job fine, but that last 10% is frustrating as all hell.

Come on, system. Let’s get our virtual head out of our virtual ass, huh? How about it?

Too Early

What day is it? Who knows. It’s Thursday, right?

Is it too early to start thinking about plans for the weekend? It is the height of leaf peeping season here in New England. We thought about going up to the mountains for a look last weekend but we decided against it. If we go this weekend the traffic will be insane. I checked the weather for our area and Saturday looks great while Sunday looks rainy and crappy.

I don’t know. We’re trying to plan a visit to the kids but that won’t be for another couple of weeks. We have a couple of work days to get through before we figure anything out and maybe we will just hang out at home. I don’t know. After a bunch of day trips on our week off/staycation last month I just have the road trippin’ bug.

We will figure it all out soon enough. Stay tuned.

Internal Calendar Failures

Earlier this morning I was talking to my boss about something and I thought that today was Monday.

Monday? It’s Wednesday. What the hell, Robert?

Later this afternoon I was working through something with two of my staff members and I thought today was Friday.

Friday? It’s Wednesday. What the hell, Robert?

Why doesn’t my internal calendar work anymore.
